Hughes was anything but trash prior to the FSU series. He had been great up to that point, but after giving up that homer in game 3 (did manage to get the save), it’s been downhill for him since, drastically. Walked off game 1 at Miami, got beat up game 2 at ND and game 3 against Upstate and now this. Again, I don’t know what happened to him against FSU, but he hasn’t been right since. Wish he’d bounce back and pitch like he did the first 1/3 of the season.

I wish he would too but quite frankly, against many here on T-Net, I've never seen any consistency from him. I watched him in summer ball for 2 years... mainly started. Each pre-season, some fellas come around and say watch out for Hughes this year, he's going to be good. No offense, but he and TY are good pitchers on occasion but they don't have enough command over enough pitches to be an out production like knaak... or even Darden or Gordon. But Gordon needs to buy the team drinks tonight. Defense bailed him out because Louisville was fixing to light him up.

Yes but a serious decline since....I hope he fixes whatever is going on because we will need him if we hope to have any kind of post season run.
