Call me crazy or a non-traditionalist, but IMHO the Clemson Tigers could incorporate a fine metal flake in our orange helmets and leave the Tiger Paw in a matte/flat white. Sometimes some pop in the uniform helps sell these young men on the program. See the NFL draft - everyone wants to style-and-profile.
At 62 yrs old, I appreciate the old-school Tigers will disagree. What do T-netters under-35 & under-22 think?
Footnote Add: Remember Clemson is recruiting 17-19 year olds not 55-year olds.

I think you should support Oregon or Louisville or even S Carolina with their revolving helmets. I'll go with Traditional that anyone who sees our Helmets know it's Clemson, without having to figure it out.

Are you the ruler of who can be a Clemson fan? Just because he thinks this would be cool for a change doesn't make him less of a fan then you. Since you're kind of a ####, maybe you should go root for South Carolina.

I appreciate your sin cerity on this and I'm over the age limit. I think our helmet is our brand and very well known so we should stand pat. I think we could have a very fine dark outline of the paw like the chiefs do w thier arrowhead would help the paw show up better if there is a glare from lights. But that is as far as I'd go

Chrome (or any metallic look for that matter) belongs on a Harley or a '57 Chevy. Not a football helmet. If we ever have to resort to Oregon's method of attracting players we'll be in deeper doo-doo than I ever imagined. No thanks.

I'm curious just how much do you actually know about Oregon and what they do to attract recruits? Ever hear of uniquely shaped recruiting packages? Or a 360 degree theater for showing recruits the actual game day experience? Or special recruiting materials specifically designed for each individual recruit? This last one the NCAA actually passed a rule banning the practice. Point is Oregon is a lot more than "uniforms", it's facilities, creativity, coaches, team, family, player development and opportunity.
The Ducks are just getting started.

when it comes to Clemson's helmets, there are just two hard and fast rules.
Rule No. 1 - Do not ever, under any circumstances, even remotely consider messing with Clemson's helmets.
Rule No. 2 - Do not ever, under any circumstances, even remotely consider forgetting Rule No. 1.

I don't think chrome is a deal breaker like some around here - just has to be tasteful.
The only color helmet concepts that haven't looked good are purple helmets.
I honestly think a white Clemson helmet with an orange paw and purple trim would look really good with the all white unis.

old traditionalist helmets:
Bama, UGA, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, ND, and Clemson.
Oregon is one of the few that does well with non-traditional helmets.

The helmet is on campus. I wouldn't mind Chrome for 1 game. I wouldn't mind a purple or camo helmet for military appreciation day.

I am 112 years old and I think Clemson should not only have chrome helmets, but also chrome cleats and wear body glitter.

White Helmet with the white unis would be a fresh look. Add some purple trim to the paw and stripes and we're cooking with gas.
