122 - Clemson Footballs Most Points in One Game: 122-0 Win Over Guilford

According to ClemsonTigers.com:
Clemson opened the 1901 season with a 122-0 win over Guilford. The Tigers averaged 30 yards per play and a touchdown every minute and 26 seconds. The first half lasted 20 minutes, while the second half lasted only 10 minutes. Legend has it that every man on the Clemson team scored a touchdown in this game. The Guilford captain was very distraught over the way his team had played. “We missed everything today, tackles and blocks. One thing we certainly won’t miss is the train back home.”

Clemson Wiki reports that Guilford never played Clemson again. Can’t say that I blame them:
1901: John Heisman's Tigers score mind-boggling 122 points against hapless Guilford in Clemson home opener. Guilford never scores. First half lasts twenty minutes, second half only ten. A touchdown is scored every minute and twenty-six seconds, and legend has it that every man on the team scored. An all-time record number of points in Clemson Tiger football history. Guilford and Clemson never meet again on the gridiron.

South Carolina Highway 122, known as Dave Lyle Boulevard, is a 5.74 mile state highway in Rock Hill that runs from the west end at SC 72 to the east end at Waterford Park Drive and crosses US 21, SC 121, and I-77. Future plans are to extend SC 122 east into Lancaster County near the Catawba Reservation, crossing the Catawba River.
 
The Catawba Reservation near Rock Hill, South Carolina, is a land area for the federally recognized native American tribe known as Catawba Nation, "people of the river". The 700 acre reservation on the Catawba River has over 3,300 citizens. There is also a reservation in Kings Mountain, North Carolina where Two Kings Casino is located. The Catawba tribe was one of the first of the native Americans to form alliances with European colonists in order to help them in conflicts with other tribes and even supported the colonists in the Revolutionary War against the British. The early alliance was also due to their extensive farming background with expertise in corn, squash, and beans. The Catawba Indian Nation Cultural Center can be visited which shows their culture and history in and around York County.
