I know Rooster wasn't the most popular QB in Tallahassee history after the 1998 natty loss to Tennessee, but he was a good guy that unfortunately lost the health issue lottery. He actually played pretty well for a backup in that game, aside from the one bad throw to the Pick 6.

Condolences to his family and the FSU fans. Some things are more important than football.

Yeah - I had to read up on that one too. Apparently it is very rare and typically shows up in children. Basically an uncontrolled immune response that causes wide spread damage to organs.

I wonder when it started and if he had received anything that would cause an immune response.
