I’d say I’ve got a decent collection going. I could have more but I’m not paying triple the MSRP price for some things. What bottle are you guys cracking open for Christmas Eve tonight? I may go with the Jack Single barrel select store pick or good ol Grandad 114. Merry Christmas Eve to all.

Never had the Old Fitzgerald, how is that? Blue Run is pretty good but that is pretty pricey for a daily sipper, well for me anyway.

The old Fitzgerald I have is the 11 year fall 2021… I refuse to open it bc it’s such a unicorn bottle. I’m actually seeking another rare one. Old forester “SINGLE BARREL” Rye…. Not the OF rye but Single barrel rye…. Super hard to find. But I sip on $50 to $60 bourbon, the others I won’t open bc I want to collect.

well stocked places have it, don't have to chase it around town. I'm not sure I've ever had anything better. Is a little pricey, but not too bad, can drink on weekends without going broke.
For value, give Dickel a try. All of it is good, but anything above the entry level "8" is, imo, great for the price. The 12, the single barrel, whatever. Actually, the 12 is good enough that I don't see a huge upgrade to the single barrel or small batch. Having said that, a connoisseur buddy of mine who has a bottle of literally everything, swears by the 8 (for the price).

Usually Buffalo Trace, but lately I've been drinking Tin Cup, which is an "american whiskey" but not technically a bourbon.
"AMERICAN WHISKEY CUT with Rocky Mountain water. TINCUP is a classic American Whiskey. It has a bourbon style profile with a bold and spicy finish. TINCUP was made in honor of Colorado's first whiskey drinkers and the tin cups from which they drank. Inspired by the mountains, TINCUP® is a blend of two great American whiskeys. "High-rye" bourbon, distilled and aged in Indiana, is blended with a small amount of rare Colorado single malt whiskey and then cut with Rocky Mountain water.

Gonna compare stagg jr's 16 and 15 with some friends. Got a cypb for a friend for a reasonable ish price that I also get to try. And found an Old Forester Sib Barrel Strength stroke pick I can't wait to crack into.
Living in Georgia currently, I feel bad for everyone in the bourbon desert known as SC when it comes to allocation.

Lucked up on a bottle of Col EH Taylor Single Barrel to start and follow up with Blanton's. Never had both side by side so it will be interesting to see which one I like the most. Probably will be like trying to decide which child you love the most.
9 minutes until 5:00 right now - time to get ready.

It's Scotch, not bourbon, but still should be good.
I picked it up a year ago for just a bit more than a bill and it is now retailing for $180.00 to $200.00, so I should sell it.

Opened a bottle of Isaac Bowman tonight that was a gift. Pretty decent, a little sweeter than most but that's expected as it's Port Barrel Finished.
I had to try it as they use mashbill #1 from Buffalo Trace and then distilled again at there location in Va in copper stills.
Now I'm gonna have to find the John Bowman as that is their single barrel.
My current collection:
Basil Hayden - Toasted Blanton's - Straight from the cask (128.8) Blanton's Blade & Bow Buffalo Trace Chattanooga Whiskey Single Barrel - Store pick (118.2) Eagle Rare Elijah Craig Single Barrel (Barrel Proof) - Store Pick (136.6) Elijah Craig Single Barrel - Store Pick Four Roses - Single Barrel Hancock's President's Reserve Hirsch - Single Barrel - Store Pick (123.9) Makers 46 Makers 46 - Straight from the Cask McKenna 10 year Sazerac Rye Smokewagon - Uncut/UnFiltered Weller - 107 Weller - Reserve 1792
Bottles I'm looking to buy next: - Forester 1910, 1920 - John Bowman
Bottles I'm looking to buy/trade for next (if I can ever find them). Elmer T Lee Stagg Jr Weller 12 year Weller CYPB EH Taylor

Yellowstone does some solid work. You’ll likely enjoy. I’ve largely come to BT selections with Weller 12 my favorite so far. Rarely own that one so mostly ER and Weller SR are staple stock. Other winners are Henry McKenna 10, Old Forrester 1920, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, and a new find Peg Leg Porker 8.

Spend a lot for Angel Envy or get an excellent bourbon for the price with Benchmark by Buffalo Trace, distiller of Pappy Van Winkle.
