From the story I just read, I would not bet against ol' Alex Murdaugh getting a new trial. His defense team skewered the Colleton County Clerk of Court Becky Hill for alleged Jury tampering. Although the Judge denied his request for a new trial based on that, and he lost this round, just like the Terminator, eventually, He'll be Back! He will find some other legal loophole to slither away from justice. He is a lawyer, after all, with absolutely nothing to do but sit around and do research in the slammer.
