A tough thing to do at this point in time? It's never been more fashionable to be a pole smoker in the history of the world! He'll probably get a rainbow colored medal from ESPN or something. I wish these people would just keep their sexuality to themselves. I sure as #### don't want to hear about it.

I'll quit using "homophobic" terms when they quit trying to render the word "marriage" undefinable.
By the way, "homophobia" is a term to mock anyone who finds homosexuality unnatural. A "phobia" is a fear of something. I don't know a single person who is "afraid" of gay people. Not one. So they're playing the ridicule game just as much as any straight people are.

Like all words, you are free to try and define it however you wish. THough, like all words, society as a whole will define it as time passes.
You are 100% free to not think 2 men should be able to be married. Absolutely 100% free. And you know what, I don't think that makes you homophobic at all.
Now throwing around slurs makes you sound ignorant, but thats another matter.

Please give me a break. Godamighty you in the PC crowd are as about a humorous a bunch as a capital murder jury.
Look, I've had several girlfriends who had gay male friends. They call each other ##g and q###r and all other kind of names that a straight person would be dragged over the coals for using. Maybe even lose their job for using. It's like the N word. Only some are allowed to use it, and others are forbidden to. And it's b#llsh#t. It's hypocricy to the nth degree.
So lighten up, or I'll throw a Catholic Priest joke in for the h#ll of it.

You guys can call me any name you want. Heck, you might want to consult an online thesaurus and get a little more creative. Try "homoaversive troglodyte" for starters. I'd thumb you up for the effort.
If you want to go for the PC tripe and walk all your life on eggshells, mortally afraid of offending someone, have at it. I won't.

but I did learn that you should be as clear as possible with your word choice. When a word like bigot fits so perfectly, there is really no reason to convolute your meaning by going to the thesaurus.

I'm not PC in that sense at all. I think DANG NEAR EVERYTHING is ripe for humor in the right context.
But you weren't trying to be funny, you were trying to be insulting.
And btw your "I have gay friends who say ### and queer" is about as effective an argument as black folks and the word they hate. In the end context and company is everything in language. It is obvious to all involved you were aiming for, and hit, an insult.

Jesus directly taught to love everyone. Yes homosexuality is a sin, but Christians don't hate gays. Dabo had Aaron Kelly on his team, who was a Jahovas Witness, even though Dabo didn't believe in that he was accepting of it.

Legit question
Feb 9, 2014, 9:40 PM
|
|
Would Dabo recruit an atheist?
Btw why are you trying to put extra pressure on a silly hypothetical by calling the recruit a 5 star? Is it trying to make an assumption that Dabo is two-faced and would compromise whatever he believes so a better recruit could be on our football team.

I imagine there are a few atheists on every football team. But it's difficult to make that known because of the prejudices that people have about the non-religious, especially in the South.

I'd be quite dissapointed in fact.

So I must have missed that part where God said, "Go and sin no more". NOT!!! Also, I must have missed that part where God said Christians should tolerate all sin and keep silent about it, just as he did, never mentioning it or punishing those who sinned.
