Brownell's response: "We've never been a highly ranked opponent so no one's ever stormed the court when they beat us."
and
"We always lose the games against highly ranked opponents. So I'm not the best guy to ask."

As I suppose you’re a “Clemson fan,” this is a most puzzling response. So, when Coach Brownell says “we” (granted, it is really you who are saying ‘we,’ hypothetically and figuratively) does that not refer to you, as a Clemson fan as well? If not, then you’re not a Clemson fan? If so, why troll on another fan forum? When you think about that action both rationally and logically, doesn’t the practice come off as . . . lame?
Nevertheless, your hypothetical statement is curious for a second reason. Clemson beat the #3 ranked team in the nation not more than three weeks ago, so your statement is untrue (even for a smarmy, hypothetical statement).

Time to put an end to rushing onto the court and the field at end of game.

I think fans should be told to wait till players are off the court.

That said, so on-brand for Duke (after a loss no less) to complain about something.

How many years have fans stormed the court after a big win to celebrate with their classmates? When do we all stop acting like a bunch of Karen’s?

Except it wasn’t a big enough win to warrant it. Storming the court has become watered down.

Instead. And really, these events are so rare … and don’t give me the argument that 18+ year olds are too young to drink beer. No wonder today’s young people are so messed up.

Pretty sure that is the game UNC fans' claim that coach K had the building heat turned up at halftime to wear out the Heels and their lack of depth. Art Chansky wrote of the court storming atrocities that day. Claimed Antuan Jamison saved a wheelbound child's life by shielding them.

To me in slow motion it looks like he intentionally shoves a guy in the shoulder & then turns and pushes another in the stomach. Watch the slow mo……
Anybody else see this too?
It looks like he got hit in the knee too, but he was being aggressive, maybe with the sound on he felt threatened?

Yes, I saw exactly what you saw. And his knee that got hit was because he stuck his leg out to trip one of those people he pushed.

I’m against storming the football field and basketball courts. Too easy for someone to get hurt and just not worth it.

Clemson does a good job in basketball with this. They rip off the end of the court near Clemson bench and then take the visitors out through the Clemson exit. With the students at the opposite end and across court this seems to work. In the video it does appear the Duke player had time to put his arms up but he was being harassed and defended himself. Also you see several fans knocked down near the other free throw line and people running across them. You will see a Wake fan trying tho get in Scheyer’s face to harass him and objects being thrown. This is unacceptable.

But how often does that happen where a player is injured? It's also been going on for a really, really long time.
You could place much of the blame both on Scheyer and Wake officials. Duke had. No chance to win the game after that last free throw and it would be ear the kids would rush the court. Go ahead there a that timeout and pull your kids off the court. Second, Wake and all. Universities moving forward need to find a way for players to leave the court. There are several solutions to do this. Lastly, Players need to get the heck out of there when they can.

A pretty obvious one. I know you are aware of that so not sure what your point is?
It's fun to see... Just don't like seeing things that make the college game fun taken away.
I'm sure if you do the math of court stormings and injuries to players... The chance of getting hurt is probably like 0.005.. if even that.

He wouldn't be hurt if he didn't try to trip the kid.

tried to hurt someone and ended up hurt himself. OF course I was 20 years old at one point in my life and could see myself doing something similar but... its not like flip was blameless in all this.

It shouldn't be banned but better controlled. Like a 1to 2 minute clock before any fan is allowed on the court. Gives visitors time to exit stage left and no one gets hurt. I will be honest though I can't remember anyone else ever being hurt like this before in this situation.
