I’m glad Graham seemingly smoothed over the tension between 7 and Clemson

Jack sounded like he was not welcomed by DRad and Monte and it was personal

Yep. This is all great news for Clemson baseball. We'll host a regional next season. Perhaps a Super. We're back baby.
As the article from UM said, top 5 coach... Saying biggest strength is player development. We've had talent at Clemson. Development. Look no further than Strider.

Actually he was hurt only one year and then covid cancelled what would have been his breakout year. I should have worded it different.
Not an expert in baseball, but I have adamently followed Clemson baseball since 65, and the Braves through 2000.
My point was we had talent come to Clemson in the Monte era... And strider was 38th I believe. Just wanted to clear that up. We have 2 other pretty good pitchers currently in Ricky Williams and Ty Olenchuk. Both rated high. No, not top 100 but they've been in our program for 2 years. Both arguable have regressed.

Well hopefully his X student want mind Jack coming around from time to time. I agree that shunning Jack after he was let go broke his heart, and it made me feel bad for Jack, but Monte was the HC, and I just wasn't going to say anything negative about Monte bc, he was the coach I wanted to see DRAD hire after he let Jack go. Maybe Jack can get a job with Bakich teaching fundamentals or something just to give a Clemson legend something to do besides wasting his life away hanging out at the house where we knew he didn't want to be, he wanted to be close/near to Clemson baseball, I just hope that he doesn't push himself on Bakich and interfere with what he wants to do in helping our baseball program to rise again!!!

I had the same impression. Regardless of how anyone “feels” about Coach Leggett, he made an incredibly significant contribution to Tiger baseball. For that, he deserves immense respect and preferably, inclusion in the next chapter of Tiger baseball.

Most of it was Jack. How quickly y’all forgot how bad Jack was at the end. They were terrible at fundamentals just like Monty’s guys. Not sure if Jack made any moves the last couple years that worked.

If JL is mad at DRad for not welcoming him back that's fine and understandable, but to throw shade at ML for not welcoming him is bush league. In what work environment does the new boss welcome the fired old boss back to hang around the company. JL was fired and ML was his immediate predecessor. It's hard to instill a new regime when the old disgraced general is still coming around. Imo, ML should have let LeCroy go as well when he took the job. I think that was helpful at first to keep Beer but detrimental in the long run. If I'm Bakich, I would be real careful as too how much daily access I'd give JL. I personally would love to see him in a role similar to Jeff Davis in the football program.

Too bad opening weekend isn't next week... Can we roll back time? Really interested to see if some of our juniors come back vs later round draft.

So excited about this. So sad that DRad and the program cut him out. I love Jack and he is such a huge part of this program. I'm so happy that he's being welcomed back!

Yessir. Neff showed me a lot. Put on his big boy pants and became the adult in the room and did what's best for Clemson. After much reflection, he did the same thing with the bball situation. I'm impressed.

I got the impression Graham is a Leggett guy. Big Dollar Dan must’ve not been a JL fan. Who knows, maybe Monte was trying to be the guy on the middle. Jack didn’t help his cause by telling anyone that would listen how he didn’t want to leave. Time to move on. I can see Jack being like McCorvey is to Dabo. Mentor, advisor, etc. Go Tigers!

No one who has poured their life and $ into Clemson should….

ever be denied being able to go anywhere they want on campus. I get restricted areas for security sake, but we built this place! Leggett built Clemson baseball!
If I ever, ever, ever hear of any Clemson worker, student, alumni or coach being denied being able to be on campus and wandering our facilities, I will lose it! Each and every one of us have spent way too much treasure (time and $) for this to be allowed. Unacceptable IMO.
That said, I don’t think Leggett was “not allowed” to do that. He was probably not “welcomed”. That too is egregious to me. Why? Seriously? He deserves way more respect than that. He has wisdom. Good god man, why would you not want to learn at the feet of the master?

All I know is when Coach Leggett was in charge , Clemson baseball was great. Great players Benson , LeCroy , Greene just to name a few. Regionals were held @ home . ETC. Respect in the ACC. Glad he can be involved in the return of Clemson baseball. Now Let's PLAY BALL !!! GO TIGERS . I feel this is a GREAT hire. I'm EXCITED ?? ??.

My tenure on the Tailgate Show (As "HurricaneDuane") ran very similar to Jack's as the BB Coach at Clemson. I was on the show for 15 years starting in 1995 and I think Jack started close to then, but he stayed on a few years longer, as my last year was 2009. So, every year (it was probably a requirement) the Baseball Coach was on the show for an interview. Jack was a great interview and he NEVER FAILED TO ACKNOWLEDGE ME on the show. I mean NEVER. I'll always remember him for that. He and I never had a relationship past his appearances on the show. So it was and totally is superficial, but he nonetheless, always gave me props. Maybe he's a music fan, maybe he's just a good dude. In any case, he's endeared me as a fan of HIS forevermore. I, for one, am glad to have Jack BACK in the mix! Welcome home, my dear friend! Go Tigers!

I have no idea what happened behind closed doors, etc. so going to leave the past in the past. But as for the present, I am certain it is a very wonderful thing that Coach Leggett is once again involved with Clemson baseball.
Very excited for next season.
