second most important non-Playoff bowl win in Clemson history, behind the 2012 LSU win that featured 4th and 16. Why? Because, now, as then, at some point, you have to stop the slide. You have to find some degree of greatness in you, and turn a loss into a win, when all the odds are against you. That is what the Tigers did Saturday, in dramatic fashion, just as they did in 2012.
Enjoy this offseason. Despite what the Hand Wringers may think, Clemson is once again on the rise. I ain't askeert of no Georgia Bulldogs. I still remember hanging in against their National Championship winning team in 2021, only losing 10-3, without any SEMBLANCE of an offense. And, I believe our offense AND defense are better now than they were then. We will pass that test, because it is once again time.
Let the ESecPN Talking Heads build up the Bulldogs all offseason, as they are sure to do. Hayall, it is what they are PAID to do. Clemson will be lying in wait. Nobody is a better underdog than Clemson under Dabo Swinney.
Buckle up, The Ride to the Top of the Mountain, Part Deaux begins August 31st. Go, Tigers.

I hope you’re right but my prediction is that we will be all hyped up but still have the same QB play we’ve had for last 3 yrs now, which is marginal at best. Can’t beat great with a marginal QB.
We must get a QB who can at least manage the game well and have some sense of situational awareness.
But again, I sure hope you’re right

that result will mean nothing if we lose to UGA, and I unfortunately don’t feel to good about our chances. Truth be told that LSU bowl win was when college football bowls actually mattered and the superstars actually played, the Kentucky game was a completely meaningless exhibition, good and tough effort and win, but meaningless and not a springboard.

Disagree. The LSU game was completely different. We were underdogs and on the rise but still unknown for most of the country. Probably the turning corner was our win over osu. That proved the LSU game wasn't a fluke. Talking heads and media took notice.
This year's Kentucky game, we didn't cover the spread. The national perception is completely different than the LSU or osu games. Gone from a team on the rise then, to a team on the slide and wondering if we can rise back up and stem the slide.

Neither is LSU, anymore. Maybe Brian Kelly should start eating grass.

Good points 76er. Some here might be getting hung up on the opponent in this game, but your post nailed the bigger picture. This was an important win, and will pay dividends.
