House Dems really love illegals. Why?

I wonder if the vote would have been about the same if “assault” was replaced with “murder”? Probably. 10 out of 10 TNet libs agree.

This part seems worrisome:

It would also "create a new category for migrant inadmissibility" specifically dealing with illegal immigrants who were accused of assaulting police,

That is worrisome? You are afraid an illegal that commits multiple crimes

Accused is an appropriate standard. Heres why.

People who have already committed the crime of entering our country illegally don’t deserve the same legal protections that American citizens (are supposed to) enjoy.

Illegals immigrants who become conspicuous enough to be accused of committing a crime should be packed up and deported because they are already a criminal (via being an illegal entry immigrant in the first place).

America should not waste resources to hire several million new prosecutors + public defenders + judges to try the cases of the ‘accused’ illegal immigrants.

Sad fact is we need their labor. I promise you, you will not like a US

....that doesn't run a trade deficit, has a balanced budget, and kicks out all illegals and seals the border. YOU. Will. NOT. Like. That. America.

You would necessarily suffer a reduced standard of living, inflation, more expensive goods, a weaker economy, less military security, etc. Heck, you're probably posting this message I'm replying to on a cell phone or a PC or laptop. There was a time when only the wealthiest Americans could afford a PC, when we made the parts in the US. And most parts in ANY PC or phone today, are manufactured and assembled by people who speak another language, living in another country. And for that we get these items cheaper imported than we could ever make them ourselves, which allows everyone to have easy access to the internet and websites to complain about the things they want to complain about, using devices they could not otherwise afford, but for the things they're complaining about.

It's interesting. You know there's a problem when you can't find the answer to a question on Google. The question is: "How many human beings on Earth are currently working to produce products, purchased by the American consumer, inside the United States?". There are Africans mining lithium and cobalt for Elon Musk to put in cars. There are around 200,000 Chinese citizens working to assemble iPhones in China, for the (mostly) American consumer. There are millions in China making raw materials for the domestic (and worldwide) pharmaceutical industry. There are still arabs in the Middle East drilling oil for American cars, and oil companies. Just think, because no one knows, but just think about how many people, NOT inside the US, who are NOT American citizens, are working, right now, producing SOMETHING that will be purchased by an American citizen, an American consumer, with American dollars, INSIDE the United States. Then think about all of the people in the United States working right now who are not American citizens. Many are here legally, more are here illegally, but then think about them, and WHATEVER they're doing today for work and American dollars, INSIDE the US. There are tens of millions of people INSIDE the US, who are NOT CITIZENS, who are working, right now. Doing SOMETHING.

Now think for a second. What would our standard of living be, what would our "economy" be like, if we had no immigrant (illegal and legal) labor inside the US. And no one working OUTSIDE of the US for American companies, dollars, to make products to ship to the US to be purchased inside the US. Take away all of that labor, and what is America left with, standing on our own two feet? If you kick out the illegals, and balance our trade deficit, and balance our budget (all things Trump wants to do), how exactly does that net loss of labor, "Make America Great Again"?

History will likely determine, some day, that the United States was once the world's largest empire. Economic empire technically, not teritorial. If you measure an empire by the net labor it controls, no empire in history has controlled a larger percentage of human labor on planet Earth. We don't have massive lands, massive territories, we don't do the land acquisition game, but as far as people, and labor, America tops EVERYONE who ever came before. And all the while, doing it by legislating, and allowing, policies Americans all claim to hate. It's an interesting conundrum that will play out in history books (blogs/whatever) in the future.

Now yesterday an illegal immigrant cleaned my house. A legal immigrant, with some illegal immigrants, fixed the drainage and moisture problems in our crawlspace and yard. People in Taiwan, South Korea, and China made my cell phone. This PC came from Taiwan and China, mostly. Illegals worked to build the house I'm sitting in right now, cheaper, so we can live comfortably in a larger home. And I for one, am not going to be hypocritical enough to decry all of those things for which I have been blessed, literally, due to an orange man, or anyone else, telling me it's wrong, or that I'm "better off" without the illegal domestic labor, and foreign labor for imports (like my car). Nope. And I will not discount the illegals here who are themselves "blessed" to make it into the US and work, so their mothers can have insulin, their father can have that surgery, and their little brother can go to college. This system we have created in America, has brought about and facilitated the most peaceful period of human existence, ever, on Earth. Two charts are below. One shows total human deaths from warfare over 600 years. The other, total war deaths since 1940, adjusted for population. Keep in mind the population of the planet has exploded, while total war deaths have fallen. And when you look at deaths per 100K people, the decline is shocking. America helped engineer this.

We are at a point in time when we should appreciate things for the way there are, as that's BETTER than we wish they would be. This will all end some day, most likely due to our own undoing. That's always what ruins a good thing, when people have what they've always wanted, and they're miserable. It's like the poor guy who would LOVE a car, ANYTHING, for transportation. You give him a Corolla, and he's elated. Then you have a rich person, who can afford whatever car they want, and they would ##### and moan if they were forced to drive a Corolla. Scale this up, and this is America today. We don't appreciate our cheap cars, cheap food, cheap electronics anymore, because we've had cheap cars, food, and electronics for decades now. So we sit back smugly and castigate the very things we've actually thrived on. Happens all the time. It just takes two generations to ruin a good thing. Grow up in a big, nice house, with parents who drive nice cars, and you grow up and drive a nicer car, and have a bigger house, and what happens when YOUR KIDS have to drive a Carolla and live in a trailer again because they finally "succeeded" in stopping illegal immigration, balancing the trade deficit, balancing the budget, and have paid off the debt of their parents and grandparents and ended all of the "problems" that they themselves once thrived on?

It's an interesting situation we are in. Are we willing to accept a lower standard of living to fix our "problems"? Democratically elected politicians will never accept this. But the people, are they willing to accept it, or do they blame the politicians and revolt, only to have revolutionary remorse?

Like the Old Milwaukee commercial.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah4ZIGgLNtE

PS. - This system folds no matter of we elect Trump or Biden. We can elect Trump, who will damage it, or "fix" it, possibly. Or Biden will let it roll on, making problems worse in the future. Either way, it's not political as I see it. It's economic and financial, as money unites us all. Dems and pubs alike.

Is the agriculture industry. Somewhere north of 70 percent of agricultural workers are immigrants. Removing them from that workforce will be absolutely devastating to this country.

Use of below-market-pay-rate illegal labor distorts our economy

The argument that illegal entry labor, because of their (in a small minority of instances) willingness to work in the physically challenging & low compensation agriculture industry, is necessary for America is a false argument.

Illegal labor distorts the economy by enabling artificially low rates of pay to agricultural workers, thus artificially lowering the cost (and subsequently the selling price) of agricultural products. Low costs for high end food products such as selected fruits and vegetables sounds great, doesn’t it? Everybody wins, right?

Not so fast.

First of all, most illegal I migrants do NOT work in the agricultural industry. Many of them put to work to replace legal labor in businesses such as hotel custodial / maid service, restaurant worker, meat packing, fruit & vegetable packing houses, and various other low-end maintenance / custodial jobs. Use of illegal laborers undercuts the job opportunities for low-skilled legal labor by creating an imbalance in labor supply vs labor demand, thereby depressing the rate of pay that would otherwise be required to attract legal labor. So … poorer Americans end up getting the shaft so that every other economic demographic in America can get the benefit. This is un-American.

Second, the illegal immigrants are being put into the public healthcare network. Thus, their presence as laborers in the American economy are highly subsidized by the American taxpayer. This is the hidden cost which most Americans don’t think about when gleefully buying low cost fruits, vegetables, and meats. These same American shoppers are paying for the privilege of having low priced food products in the form of taxes.

Third, conflating illegal immigrants with former illegal immigrants (who are now legal) is a sneaky argument. The enormous surge in illegal immigrants is eagerly sought by the big corporations who will get the financial benefit by having a large pool of new illegal immigrants to undercut the wages that are being paid to the current bunch of former-illegal immigrants.

All in all, illegal immigrants distorts the economy for the benefit of the big companies that get the benefit of the distortion. Wealthy and upper middle class Americans are borderline beneficiaries of this economic distortion. Middle class tax payers are getting screwed, but don’t realize it. Poor Americans (including the now-acclimated / no-longer-illegal immigrants) who would otherwise want to start working their way into the ranks of the employed are getting screwed.

Finally, high labor costs motivates industry to innovate and automate. If slavery was a permanent aspect of the econ9my, then cotton picking machines might never have been invented. Necessity is the mother of invention … that kind of stuff.

Why would Democrats have a problem with anyone who assaults police? Take a look at everyone who has murdered a cop the last ten years and you'll observe that most of them are Democrat voters, unlike the dead cops. Can't really expect Democrats to vote against their core constituents can you? Next thing you'll be expecting them to stop assaulting Jews and calling for the extermination of Israel.
