1st Play... updated after point out by @Eye4I in the comments. Also goes to show if you don't know the play call you are speculating (which is what I did)...
Looks to be a deception bubble screen to #12 (Wesco) with a back out of the backfield to the opposite side as the primary receiver.
Cade comes off the deception pretty quickly and looks to his right.
To Cade's right, #11(Pat-Henry?) is downfield and appears to be setting up to block, he never turns around.
The back comes out of the backfield and is a step away from being open in the right flat with a lead blocker and a TE downfield setting up to block.
#71(Leigh) completely whiffs on Sammy Brown and he has free access to Cade who is now moving to his right.
The result is a strip/sack. (Real game, that is likely a turnover)
There was only one receiver who looked back at the QB (#12 Wesco), the back never really got into his pattern.
This is not on Cade, this is on Leigh who did not protect the backside, the entire play took 3 seconds.
IF the backside is even held up by 1 potato this play goes for positive yardage... Brown made a great play and broke the whole thing up.
At the game I thought this was on Cade that he took a long time.
I cannot edit the pictures in the post so look in the comments.

Ugly play and Leigh has to block better on that.

Bryant Wesco and Sammy Brown are the best players on the field on that play

Cade never threw to BW12
and that is why he will never be NFL
until he quits picking players to play with and going against coaches by never throwing toniptions and then scrambling , the guy peaks in high school
he fumbled every time pulling the ball from Will Shipley . Cade lost to Duke . lost to Duke ...

Lol you did not watch the game he threw to Wesco at least twice. One Wesco dropped and the other was a 1v1 fade that you throw off the snap(Wesco gotta pushed out of bounds by the db).

to the field. Our offense is so mind-numbingly simple it’s infuriating sometimes. I’m guessing 21 is the outlet, but really can’t be sure unless I watch the play. I mean we have plenty of plays that don’t have a second option other than “Run Cade!” For instance, why don’t we have TEs on routes or zones out of fake blocks?
Cade is QB1 he should be able to change plays at scrimmage when he needs to. It ain’t hard, OC just needs to green flag it.

i watched this play from the east end zone less than 20years away
what a complete joke and blatant refusal of Cade to throw to the freshmen

Ok, look at the picture again... that is 2 seconds after the snap... 2 seconds. It takes almost a second to throw the ball... he was strip-sacked at 3 seconds.
Leigh got smoked by Sammy Brown and there is one throwing option, 12 (Wesco) who is likely blocked from Cade's view by the Brown/Wesco mass of humanity... he is the only player who is looking at the QB.
Cade threw to Wesco at least twice in the game; one a drop that I remember, so your supposition is wrong and shows some level of pre-determined bias against Cade.
If your line cannot give the QB 3 seconds we have far bigger problems than Cade.

I'd wager nearly half of the plays called for Cade were like this. Some sort of screen or RPO. It was almost like an emphasis for him.

This play looks to have been to the RB. If LT picks up the blitzing LB, then Cade has time to get the ball to the RB coming out to the right side of the formation with lots of running room.

Here’s you go. Just a good play by Sammy. This would have been a big play if Sammy didn’t get the QB. This play is all on the LT.

If that pass is thrown to the RB it has a chance to be called back for an ineligible receiver down field.
I don’t remember the where the LOS was on that play.

LOS was the 25. All Oline are behind that at the point of the sack. There’s a TE blocking beyond the LOS and a lineman running to be out front of the RB.

Oh okay. I thought that was a lineman blocking up ahead of the play.

yes was a really good play by Brown, and a really poor play by Leigh (71).
Will go back and rewatch the sequence with the field side back your arrow points to.
Thanks for an intelligent reply, rare on this board.

great catch on the actual play development... updated my original post to reflect your input.
That play had alot of potential had Leigh made the block..
