On a post that was deemed quality content by this site, the mods removed one of my subthreads that I posted of Brad Brownell's record.
I've posted it again here, but why did you take that down mods? I didn't say anything derogatory with the referenced record. So what the actual (and excuse my language) Tarnation is going on here?
Is this a place where facts are silenced?
The facts are, that Brownell is 128-126 in conference play.
And one of his best runs is the semi finals of the NIT
Neff Fired the wrong BBall coach. Or they actually both need to go. For the sake of the programs.

That’s an impressive accomplishment for Clemson basketball.
Brad has the highest ACC winning percentage in program history.
He is our all-time leader in wins.
He will have the most NCAA Tournament appearances in program history after this season.
He doesn’t deserve to be fired. Sorry, coot.

It means he is successful enough to keep his job and continue getting raises/extensions, and also loyal enough to Clemson to want to stay.
We’ve never had a men’s basketball coach who fit that description.
I’m grateful it’s worked out so well.

Because he like some other idiotic BB lodgers only compare him to our history. As if having a slightly and I mean slightly better ACC winning percentage over 14 years is some great accomplishment.
You know what a great accomplishment is? Getting the the NCAAT 3 times in a row. OP did it.

Yet that is still a better accomplishment than anything BB has done. Heck BB was gifted OP players and he was able to get to the tournament his first season then tanked after that.
And you are obviously so pro BB you won’t stay consistent. You brag about all these minor accomplishments and won’t give OP his due when he’s clearly had a better accomplishment and put down three consecutive tournament appearances.
All these BB haters, including me would absolutely shut up if we make the tournament the next two years. Because that consistency is what we want.
We want the arrow to point up see that our program is ready to take the next step. BB will always be what he’s been here at CU. Up and down and very inconsistent because he relies too much on transfers. If he built through recruiting (which he can’t recruit) and only used the portal to fill small gaps we’d see more consistency.

I wish Brownell was what you seem to think he is JK.
I really do, but there is no excitement to Clemson Basketball as it is dismal at best.
Littlejohn shows up and shows out for big games only mostly and if it looks like a loss they pack it up early.
Using Brownell in comparison to other Basketball coaches at Clemson is a very low bar. It's like saying he's the tallest midget.
We need a real ball coach. One that aligns himself with the Clemson Culture. And in case you've forgotten Judge Keller® that culture is a winning culture first and foremost, and Brad doesn't win.

JK, BB has been the epitome of mediocrity, as has been most of the product he has produced at Clemson. For someone who likes to jump on the bash Dabo wagon. It would seem BB's complete mediocre coaching would really get your negativity fired up.

I once saw a Little League Coach get "fired" because his team of boys from wealthy families getting pulverized by kids who didn't meet their social class! Now granted this was a non paying and basically a volunteer job, but they put that man through ####! Unlike the purgatory Clemson Basketball both men and womens have been in for decades!
Should we expect better considering the capital invested? Sure! Is it possible to be better? Absolutely! But it's gonna take money, but more luck to get the right coach who can somehow convince teenagers who are now demanding more money that their parents will ever make in their life to come to Clemson!

We’ve finished in the top 5 of our 15 team conference three of the last four years.
Do you know how uncommon it is for Clemson basketball to finish in the top third of the ACC in our history? It’s extremely uncommon.

is that during Brownell’s tenure the ACC has been the 5th best conference in the country. All prior Clemson coaches competed in the best basketball conference in America and it wasn’t even debatable. Many of those coaches would have far better records than Brownell had they coached in this era of the ACC. Judge Clueless just needs to shut his pie hole about prior Clemson coaches .

20-21: tied for 5th 21-22: 10th 22-23: tied for 3rd 23-24: tied for 5th
Top third = top 5 in a 15 team league.
We aren’t top third in program funding. Brad isn’t top third in salary. We don’t have top third recruiting classes. We aren’t top third in attendance.
Yet our “mediocre” coach has our program as one of the best in the ACC the past few years. We’ve been far more consistent than many other ACC programs. Yet some here want him fired. Unreal.

Why would say one of Brad's best runs was the NIT Semi Final, and not the Sweet 16?
Also, you can't compare a winning record (overall & conference) to a losing record in both overall and conference. The math doesn't math.
Brad averaged 5 more overall wins per season and 4 more wins in conference.
Brad B. - (18.7 - 13.4) / (9.1 - 9.0) - (.584) / (.504)
Amanda - (13.5 - 17.7) / (5.3 - 12.2) - (.433) / (.305)
Brad's teams have made the NCAA tournament 3x, and the NIT 4x, in 14 years, Amanda's teams made it to the NCAA Tournament 1x, and the NIT 2x in 6 years.
With all this said, I'm indifferent as to whether Clemson goes in a different direction with BB as long as they are 100% confidant that the next coach is going to do better. However, don't try to tell me that Amanda is a better coach and deserves to stay while BB gets the axe. 6 years is enough proof for me. Brad has a better winning % In conference and out, and averaged 2x as many post season tournaments to date. If someone needed to go, it was Amanda first.

4 teams are less than 16.
The sweet 16 means nothing.
We should be there every season with the amount of money Clemson has.

Couple problems with your argument here.
1) Making the postseason 7/14 years is the same percentage as 3/6.
2) If the requirement to move on from a coach is 100% certainty the next coach will do better, no coach would ever lose his job. Because that's impossible.

Goal this year was to make the tournament. Box checked. If you expect Final Four appearances at Clemson every year as a sign of success, you live in the leftist radical wing of the Lunatic Fringe Clubhouse. Enjoy the success Clemson is having and stop whining like a little girl.
