Just don't have the bullpen to make a run in the postseason. Got some good hitting (at times) but when we go up against a Texas A&M , Kentucky, Arkansas etc in a Super Regional, (if we are lucky enough to get out of our own regional, if we end up hosting), we are going to get embarrassed. Got to continue to recruit pitching. Previous regime left us severely lacking in that area..

Clemson has to get over the "mental" edge Georgia has over them. Teams that seemingly beat another team over and over tend to believe they can beat them. The Tigers have a good baseball team, but unless they beat the Georgias of the world, they won't get to a CWS. Bakish has to instill that mental edge in them. All the great coaches have in the past.

I actually came away more impressed with our bullpen after this game. I know we ended up losing the game the way we did, but at that point in a ball game it's anybodys game. Normally, something like what happened, happens. Sometimes the ball bounces your way and sometimes it doesn't. I felt like our approach at the plate was not good in the extra innings. The bullpen was holding and at some point we have to find a way to scratch a run.

Also felt that the 3-2 pitch was a strike on both batters in the 15th by the freshman. That would have been two huge k's. But it is what it is

Agree with the k's in the 15th. And agree with your assessment.
You could literally pick this game apart in so many ways. Tons of ifs and buts. Wright's error throw. Purifys robbed homer. Bringing in malstadt, story says marchal but it wasn't. They closed the game with 11 scoreless innings. It would be nice to have a closer like the uga closer that struck out our last 5. We had one hit in extras... and on and on.
Facts are we're getting late into the season and we're in essence having to start over from scratch moving players around, changing our lineup and we had a weak hitting lineup last night due to key injuries. We have a young team that I hope stays together. We have two weekend starters that were out before the season started. All said, anyone that follows Clemson baseball close, has to be elated. You can definitely tell baseball is trending way up and it's exciting to see.

Anybody got a video of the home-run-that-wasn't? Should have been over after 9.

I'm no expert but only giving up 4 runs in 15 innings isn't to shabby, if anything the bats should have helped more

Purify was robbed of his home run by the SEC umpire, plain and simple.

Dawgs get to serve up some home cooking, but they won't get it in the NCAA tourney. If we have to lose a game, this was acceptable. Keep your chins up, boys, cause you're looking sharp for the tournament.
