I told my son in IL to watch the WRs and tell me which ones break their routes and cone back to Klubnik while he's scrambling (other than Brown). He still hasn't ID'd one.
They just can't stop and give up until the whistle blows. I saw it during other games this weekend too. Where are the hot routes when there's a blitz? It's poor coaching.

Austin with offensive line: no improvement. Grisham with receivers: no improvement. Bateson with strength and conditioning: no improvement. Goodwin with defense: Wasting some talent. Riley: Offensive play calling: Better step it up. Swinney with team: Whether like it or not this comes down to business, be all in and make the smart and right decisions.

If players are loafing then they need to be benched.. Dabo look in the mirror and do a severe self assesment...this is your fault and man up to it.

It’s truly shocking that nepotism led to this. Who could have guessed hiring family and friends over the most qualified people would lead to poor results?

and giving Dabo carte blanche to make decisions by himself. There has to be some oversight and checks and balances.
I get it, Dabo won championships and he earned plenty of benefit of the doubt. But even still, Dabo should’ve been told no on at least several of his coaching hires/promotions in recent years.

David thanks for speaking the truth. Dabo needs to quit giving away schollies to family friends, quit babysitting coaches and start using the portal. I hope he has the nads to do what needs to be done and do it asap.

As much as it hurts, your article is spot on. I love Clemson, love Dabo, and what he has done for us in the last 10+ years has been phenomenal and a great ride, but looking forward there HAS to be changes. We’ve got major problems in too many areas to point a finger to. Dabo isn’t a fool. He sees the same things that we do. He HAS to stand back at the end of this season an re-think every part of the program. I trust that he will do just that, or we are in for a long, long journey.

You’re a ####### buffoon if you think Dabo doesn’t see this. Either y’all are really good at trolling or just really stupid.

to promote unqualified people to key positions on our staff, and to not only refuse to use the transfer portal but also speak out against it.
His recent track record doesn’t suggest that he is fully in touch with reality these days.

Will Vizzina share time with CK this week? He needs to play every quarter.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe I remember seeing a while ago that the staff's plan was to redshirt Vizzina this year. It wouldn't make sense to burn a year of eligibility on a down season like this, save him for when it (hopefully) matters next year and beyond. I'd love to see Helms get some playing time though. But that's not to say that I'm ready to give up on Cade.

The fact that Concepcion wasnt offered is inexcusable

Speaks volumes about our WR evaluation: He isn’t offered but a lacrosse player and another kid who can’t even make the travel roster is??? Sickening

Yep! This Clemson football program mess presently is a collection of catamites! First of all in the past few years, the recruiting of elite talent by coaches has been lazy and subpar. Coaching hiring has been underwhelming. Coaching up the players has been non-existent. And finally, the play calling by both OC and DC has been under whelming and horrendous at games’ crucial moments! Clemson University is playing close to $20 million/ per year for these coaches or stewards of the football program . Wow, I am shaking my head on this wasteful spending and lack return on investment.

Very thought provoking article. So glad you aren't trying to blow smoke up our skirts and that HARD Lessons need to be learned from. Been a Tiger Fan since my cousin played in the mid-60's and graduated in '83.We have become the poorest "coached" team that I've ever seen in Tigertown and it is so hard to watch how far we have fallen. I hope that ALL the Staff and Players can come together for the final four games of the season, if not, look for a mass exodus in the Transfer Portal.

After game stats don't win ballgames, play on the field & mistakes or lack of mistakes wins ballgames. I've lost count on how many times I have heard this from the staff if you look at the stats we should have won. Bottom line too many missed blocks, interceptions, fumbles, missed assignments, WR not giving it 100% other then 1 or 2 etc. etc. A team granted a young team like we have, if its coached well is suppose to improve each week right? There has been zero improvement and actually are regressing...I was really waiting to see how they looked after the bye week and game planning for Miami.
They looked awful Miami's O-line & D-line was kicking our butts until late 3rd quarter, early 4th then the defense let hurricanes march right down the field with their freshman qb's first college game ever and tie the game. The game before that we barely beat a mediocre wake team 17-12 at home and had to hold on for that. With all the issues all over the place its just not one area of coaching, its all over the place. Love Dabo but, we have been going downhill the last 3 seasons and he's hasn't slowed the regression. Some of the top talent we used to get not long ago are going else where now. Not sure he is going to let his hard headedness to change happen. I so hope I'm wrong!!
