Gave up a solo shot today. He has been the best option out of the pen really. He should get some longer looks. Normally only gets a inning or 2.

I was screaming at the phone after we answered their 4 runs with our own 4 to go back up 5, (even texted a friend) titsworth pitched .2 innings that Bakich should send him back out in the 8th... and said if he gets into trouble, pull him immediately and put in Gordon. Solo shots don't usually hurt you, it's when you give them free bases.
I blame this loss on the coaches. Knowing ga tech had their big guns coming up, 5 runs ain't nothing. Put your best in and try to win the series... then experiment with Clayton on Sunday or Tues.
I literally screamed when I saw Clayton come out. I was hoping he'd do good but my gut knew something was going to happen. Sorry, he's just not good. Or garris. Both too many balls and tend to groves one. Rarely get k's. Rarely.

uh clayton is 10-0 over the last 2 years. yes he has had a couple of rough outings but he will get it back. the prn has been overall very good

I should have known you were going to try and twist the numbers on me. But ur right, my point exactly, he DID pitch better last year. I'd have to analyze what games he came in but the facts are, we're at the end of our season and THIS year any team with a hitting pulse that he's faced, he's not been good.
Go ahead and cite uga game. Sorry, a lot of our pitchers AND their pitchers were made to look great. Both teams were striking out in that game... which tends to occur in midweek games.
Facts are, overall this season against good teams, his outings have not been good. So at least on paper, he's regressed this year. That in itself is concerning.
Interesting how you twist facts. He was counted as the winning pitcher 2 games this year, first series against Xavier and a game over Miami. Well, come to find out, Miami is one of the worst hitting teams in the acc and country. So, sorry, not buying he's "won" 2 games as a testimony of how he's pitched this year.
Teams that mattered Duke, NC State, Louisville, GA tech, he's had to get pulled because he couldn't get outs.
