Just some thoughts I have. Personally I believe the Spring game format puts the QB's at a disadvantage. A single finger touch while the QB is a "passer" is a sack. Then the run plays are not called consistently. There were several after leaving the pocket touches that were not called as a tackle on a running QB and others that were. I know all the QB's rushed throws because they were about to be touched which would have been a sack. Yes, even Pearman had the intentional grounding call that would not have happened in a real game.
I know everyone wants to blame Cade for the first play which in a real game would have been a strip sack. But when a blitzing linebacker is untouched from the QB's blind side bad things happen, no matter who the QB is.
The same goes for the interception. Clearly Cade and Adam Randall did not read the same coverage. Dabo's immediate reaction was the mistake was Randall's. He should have run an out but ran a go route instead. It's a spring game mistake I am sure they will fix.
As far as Pearman goes, the only knock I hear against him is his arm strength. He clearly has a quick release, and makes good reads. Also, I believe that University over in Georgia won a national championship with a 5' 10" walkon, 2-star QB. So, if Pearman is the best QB we have play him.
If it's a sports psychologist, a mentor, or a calm down coach, Cade needs help in controlling his nerves early. He settles down but his first two series can be an outright disaster. Clearly he has the physical tools, the arm strength, and the wheels to be a good QB. It's mental for him now.
Vizzinia needs work. Most of his mistakes were lack of experience mistakes.
When a post spring depth chart is released, I don't think all three of those guys stay. I don't know who leaves and who stays, but I can't see them all here if they are not playing.

With the talent that Cade will have to throw to and Mafah, Adams, etc. running the ball, I believe Clemson will be fine! I keep seeing posts that Cade has not changed since last season, I mean, DANG, we're only 3 months out from last season!! All your points are well taken!! Hopefully the Coaches can piece everything together and The Tigers can start this season off with a BANG over the dawgs late August!!

I mean how long is it going to take to see changes? He's a rising junior who saw action as a freshman and started all last season.

Cade seems like a really great young man. He's mature and he says all the right things. He and Dabo seem to have a father-son type relationship. Dabo loves him and believes in him and that's great. Cade is obviously very talented and had an outstanding high school career
But if we're being honest, he doesn't seem to be an elite division I quarterback we need if we want to return to being one of the top football programs in the country.
I hope I'm wrong. I want the light to come on and see things click for him so that he is consistently making the kind of plays we need him to make. But I just don't see it. And this isn't based on the spring game as much as it is the fact that he's been in our program for over two years now and seems to be about the same player he was. He might even have regressed some, which is unfortunately a pattern we have seen a lot lately with our QBs at Clemson.

Pearman pretty much just made an outstanding recruiting video for himself if he stays at 3rd string.

Was the blitzing player a wiff by the OL or should Cade have recognized the blitz and changed the play or blocking scheme? Lots of variables to consider

The left tackle looked like he was responsible. He moved out to block but with his speed Brown was already by him.

You are correct about the sports psychologist...remember how that helped John Smolz when he was an Atlanta Brave?
