It’s not rocket science bud.
Same story over and over.
Increasing the money supply while restricting industry and then pretending for 3 years that its “economic growth”
The way to fix it is by voting for people that understand you cannot print your way to a prosperous economy, and that true economic growth is driven by free enterprise and small businesses.

The overall growth in money supply has exceeded growth in GDP over the past 3 years since Sniffer got into the WH. That’s how you get inflation.

Biden didn't cause it or fix it. This recent bout of inflation was from supply chain snarls that arose during the pandemic. We know this because all countries had inflation, including countries that didn't do economic stimulus like the US.
In any event, strip out owner-equivalent rents, and we're at 2%....MY GOD, the HYPERINFLATION!!!!

Unpopularity of Bidenomics is not a messaging problem
1

The stock market has done well because the US economy was doused in economic stimulus (printed money and easy credit). This makes Biden popular with the minority of people who have enough money to afford to risk a chunk of that money in the stock market.
Unfortunately, this mountain of stimulus for the economy has caused inflation; GDP growt has not kept up with growth in the money supply.
As for the CPI, there are always … ah er cough cough … ‘modifications’ to the way that CPI gets calculated and to the variables which are included in the CPI calculations. OBiden Handlers Admin has ‘gotten lucky’ in that the cost of capital has been excluded from the recent CPI calculations.
At the end of the day, it isn’t the ‘messaging’ that is hurting the view of how Americans overall view the economy. It’s that the Bidenonomics hasn’t been good for a majority of Americans.

including in countries with very little stimulus during the pandemic.
And inflation is the US is way down from its peak already.
You guys are desparately trying to find a way to slam the economy under Biden, but it's been an economy with strong growth, strong job growth, strong wage growth, and a good stock market. You won't like it, because it occured under a Democrat, so you have to find a way to slam it. But deep down, you know it's true.
If we had this exact economy under Trump, you'd be talking it up, as if it were great.
As for the CPI, yeah, keep pretending the numbers are all cooked. It's a right-wing tradition.

Smitty you can say whatever you want. I live in the real world and work with real people. They all say the same thing, every necessity is unaffordable and they are barely getting by. It wasn’t like this before Biden. Sure it’s not his fault but he hasn’t fixed it. Your graphs and statistics are bs. Everything costs more and for the average American the wages haven’t increased enough to make up for the rise in cost.

really?
Are you barely getting by? Are there folks on this board barely getting by?
No doubt prices have increased on a lot of everyday items over the last few years, but if someone is barely getting by right now, then it's likely not just because of inflation!
In many (probably most) places in this country, there has never been a better time to move up in your job than there is right now. If you want to work right now, you can and make decent money doing it...period.

Wages have kept up with inflation, and in fact most people are doing well. What you're describing is complete BS.
Consumer surveys show they're doing well. People will say "the economy is doing badly, but I'm OK."
And most of the negative view on the economy is coming from Republicans, who when asked about the economy will of course be negative if a Dem is in office, regardless of the actual conditions.

But talk to the graph. The numbers show that wages have kept up and in fact surpassed the inflation.

Part time jobs for ‘native’ Americans, ‘under-employed’ full ime jobs, and big jobs growth for foreign workers (e.g., legal entry foreigners) represents the ‘great jobs’ numbers about which the OBiden Handlers Admin has been bragging.
The smart Democrat operatives are begging the OBiden Handlers Admin to stop talking about Bidenomics. ‘Smart’ is the operative word.

No doubt the labor market is tight.
Work force participation was 67% in 2000.
Today it’s 62.5%
That’s basically 4.5% of the population that just said they don’t want to work anymore.

The measure that should be looked at is prime-age employment, which is the highest it's been since 2001.
I know you'll come up with some other nonsense to argue with. But we've had a surge in real employment, and an increase in real wages. It's higher now than at any point in Trump's presidency, back when you guys were pretending the economy was booming.

labor force participation measure is for ages 15-64 yrs old. There is maybe a slight impact from boomers maybe retiring earlier than previous generations and maybe that hits some before 64, but I'm assuming not that much...at least not enough to account for the continued drop over time.

The current president - appointed the chairman of the Federal Reserve - appointed the secretary of the treasury - signed the inflation reduction act (that is really a big ### spending bill that drives inflation) - pushes his green energy agenda that drives up the cost of basic goods - stymies oil and gas exploration which drives up the cost of basic goods and gasoline - spend billions outside of the US waging foreign wars that provide zero benefit to the us
I think he’s had a ton of opportunity to completely screw things up.
