Spectrum "Old" Plans Need to be Updated

My dad called me yesterday and told me that he couldn't get the ACC Network. I told him to call Spectrum. They told him he had an "Old" plan, and they needed to update him to a new plan. They updated him, so he now has ACCN plus a few other channels. And get this... His monthly bill went down $10.00 per month.
Just sayin...

Spectrum bill yesterday, and after "updating" to a comparable Spectrum plan from my old Time Warner grandfathered plan, I have more channels, including ACC Network, and my bill went DOWN $30 a month. This is a happening equivalent to spotting aliens strolling down mainstreet USA at High Noon.

Plan. $100 month for tv and internet.

From what I read, the people paying less after moving to the new spectrum plans were from time warner or comcast

If you have a discounted rate they will remove your discounts when you change to a new plan. It could save you a few books if you didn’t have a discounted rate from charter. In my case removing the discounts would raise my bill 27 bucks. I had to talk to 3 people to get that far; the first 2 insisted I needed a tech visit to my house which I knew from other posts here was not the fix. Ultimately I have switched to YouTube tv and will save about 40 bucks a month over Spectrum.
