Some love to Streeter since his O finished 48th to Elliott's 99th ranking.

Saying, not bad in his 1st year on the job But still not where Clemson football "has to be" to be competitive in conference & CFP consideration.
Thx Street for your 15 years of being a loyal & special tiGER!

levels is a VERY big business. And, if you underperform in your job in that business, your job will be taken away and turned over to someone who hopefully performs better. Given that Coach Streeter has $1.85 Million as a severance package, his family will not be destitute. And, who knows, if he does not go elsewhere, he could return to Clemson in some capacity down the road.

Got to give Tony a little bit of a break, he had several players jump ship on him.

Elliott is getting too much blame for 2021…

and Streeter isn’t getting enough credit for 2022. I’m not saying either were perfect, or couldn’t have done better, but some of the heat was unjustified.

I can definitely get on board with that opinion. 2021 was a young offense that got thinner as the year went on.
I do know the oline takes a lot of heat but as far as recruiting rating, the oline has just inked the best 3 classes in Clemson history. We continue to get top rated QB's.
Dabo's been right all along. The last two years, the offense couldn't seem to get 11 guys to execute correctly on a consistent basis.

He wasn't right about promoting Streeter to OC.

Thankfully, he realized the error of his ways and replaced him after one season.

The last two years have been really odd. The only thing I'm aware of the worked consistently with our O was running backs. I was happy when the former Oline coach retired, but this didn't fix the line. I was relieved when Elliot left, but this didn't fix things. Why did Dabo hire Streeter as OC? Was he caught off guard? Why was Cade not better prepped? All of these things are big question marks for which we can never expect an answer. I hope tye new OC will prove to provide tye spark we need.

All I know is that I can’t change the past, luckily I don’t have to make the future decisions for Clemson football, so I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the ride and keep cheering on those Tigers.

Yep. That's all any of us can do. But I'm old and can't afford to fly around the country. So that leaves tnet where I can come and discuss topics.

and I wasn't thrilled with his offense either but does he deserve ALL the blame? Probably not. I did think Streeter probably deserved more than one year but at the same time super excited with Dabo's decision to move on.

Agreed PBT. Considering DJU's issues and lack of playmakers @ WR.....Street's chances to succeed and be comparable to the top offenses in the country were low. When the HC doesn't use the play sheet in the first half, but chooses it to use in the second half, there is generally trust issues present.

to injuries. You can't do a direct comparison because we lost 95% off the 2 deep in 2021. Some of y'all are quick to forget this.

It's more points over yards for me, not being able to finish drives and to much inconsistency is the main thing. Some stats can be fools gold, the offense looked great between the 20's in the OB, but that didn't mean much did it.
