I found the list below of whiskey brands produced at the Jim Beam distillery in Clermont Springs KY. Which of these would y’all say is the best? I have a project I’m working on that is related to that distillery and this would be very helpful. TIA.
Baker's Basil Hayden Beam's Eight Star Blended Whiskey Booker's Bourbon and Rye Bourbon de Luxe Jacob's Ghost White Whiskey Jim Beam Bourbons and Rye Kessler Blended Whiskey Kirkland Signature (for Costco) Knob Creek Bourbon and Rye Old Bourbon Hollow Old Crow Old Grand-Dad Old Overholt Rye Old Tub (ri)' (Rye One) Sunny Brook Blended Whiskey

Basel is pretty good. The Kirklands from Costco is actually pretty good. At our Costco they had to limit the number of bottles one could buy because people were buying it by the case. Have not sampled the others. I drink buffalo, eagle rare, blantons and makers. Go Tigers! '82

Best is a matter of one's personal taste (what appeals to one's palate). From this list, Booker's, Knob Creek, and Baker's are well-regarded. I like Booker's and Knob Creek, but have not tried Baker's.
Kirkland is a solid bourbon IMO. There are three Old Granddads (80, 100, and 114 proof), which are solid budget bourbons IMO. I like Basil Hayden. I have not tried the others.

I drank Bakers for the first time a month or so ago, and it was good. But my everyday and favorite (I was a Woodford drinker) - is Basil Hayden. Honestly haven’t tried the other Beam products listed except for the Kirkland stuff. Was not a fan of the kirkland (Costco?) offerings.
HOWEVER, I tend to drink my bourbon neat, and the 80 proof is mild enough for my ‘palate’.
Honestly, though, listening to others (and from quite a few previous bourbon threads here on tnet), I’ve come to realize bourbon preferences are largely dependent upon the individual’s taste.
hth?

Black, etc I actually prefer the cheaper ones with a bite to them. Of this list I would pickOld Grand Dad.

Booker's or Knob Creek Single Barrel Select (bourbon or rye)

Booker's puts out 4 releases per year and they vary a good bit in taste profile. They are about $100. These Knob Creek Single Barrel Selects are about $60 which is a nice bang for the buck. All of these are in the 120-proof range.

Basel Hayden is a very smooth bourbon at 80 proof. Higher proof bourbons have too much bite for me. I would take Basel over all those listed, especially the bottom 7 (yes, I know that includes Knob Creek). However, I have never tasted Bakers or Jacob.
