Met my birth mother update

First off, thanks for those who reached out privately and on the board for encouragement and well wishes. We arrived at their house in South Haven Michigan. It was a well kept secret town for rich people to escape from. Chicago. The town is beautiful and has very nice beaches and sand dunes. Never saw a lakeshore that resembled an Ocean before. Anyways, a very touristy place without all the business.
Met my mother and step father for the first time and they had a friend put us up in a summer rental home that was magnificent and private. It felt like we had known each other forever and conversations and tears flowed. It was truly a million times better than I could have dreamed or hoped for.
Met my aunts and uncles and my 96 year grandmother. My children have never had grandparents. My wife lost her parents before she turned 9. I lost mine before they were born. To see them have someone that loved on them like grandparents do was amazing.
Now getting ready to say goodbye to my son and our new granddaughter and come back to God’s country today. Prayers for a safe trip. God bless you all and my cup overflows

I can't imagine because I had mom all my life till Oct when she passed peacefully at 100+. For years she was both parents since my dad ied young. I am glad it went well and make the most of this new chapter in your life. It sounds like it is off to a great start

Haven’t commented but have followed the story since you began sharing. So very glad things went as wonderfully as they did. I pray for safe travels and when you visit again send me a t-mail and I’ll be happy to buy you a drink. There are Tigers everywhere as you know and this one lives about 45 minutes south of South Havem.

and your Mother and family. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a lifetime of love and camaraderie among your extended family.
I'm very happy for you and wish you the best. My son had the opportunity to meet his oldest son, given up for adoption at birth due to unfortunate circumstances. It was a joyful reunion and acquaintance without remorse or guilt, and one that I will always believe was an act of Providence. The blessed event occurred about a year before my son died in April 2019, and my son made certain that the young man became well-acquainted with his other children. Hence, why I believe, as I do, and am grateful the union occurred.
