...looking at the past. Tear up everything we have and start completely over designing a world class offense that optimizes not only our current talent but what's coming in the next couple of years. Give the offense an identity (which it sorely lacks). In the football coaching world this is a dream job - an opportunity to be creative and blow everyone out of the water. Good luck, Coach Riley....I believe you have complete support from Clemson Nation....
GO TIGERS!!!!!

I sure hope he knows how to RECRUIT too. Without the right players, coaching only goes so far.

If he guides Clemson to a top 10 offense or better for a couple seasons the recruiting will take care of itself.

Along with Scott, they’ll bring in the players.

I’d like to think we see Dabo on sideline next year not holding a play calling sheet. Go back to what worked in Champ years.

I would bet that was a condition of accepting the position.

Probably handed the keys to the offense over and play calling. I was reading TCU boards and they seem to think coach SD had last call on every play. Probably easier to work a place you get to run it your way. And more money.

Don’t hate on Morris. That playbook brought us 2 national titles and put us in a position to hire someone like Riley

Study Reid's KC Chiefs and try to implement half of it.***

If Riley's first call next year is a bubble screen or a draw up the middle on first down I'm definitely coming to TNET to see the meltdown. Then the next play he'll call is an 80 yard touchdown. I have high hopes for Coach Riley guiding the new Clemson offense, but I'll admit if that scenario happens I'll be holding my breath. lol

I agree. I feel like our offense amounted to about 20% of Chad Morris' playbook. We started with playbook that Morris brought and then tossed out about 80% of the plays.

What an unexpected move! I wonder what changed Dabo’s mind? Apparently no one saw this coming?

He looked pretty frustrated in orange bowl. And hasn’t said much since then. We doubted him, but he’s still a great coach.

What type of scheme does Riley run?

I did not watch TCU enough this season to get a feel for their offensive scheme. Does anyone have any info on what type of plays he will run?

Umm you better believe he will. What Dabo called the Clemson offense is over. It was trash. Putrid. No way this guy comes here without assurances that the keys are his. And I would hope that means he can bring in better position coaches. No way you see Dabo with the Waffle House menu next year.

the stable, and tweak his offense to maximize the effectiveness of that talent. Very excited about what we will see on the field from Coach Riley's offense.
