Gatorade baths for coaches after wins

is absurd. Whichever that first one was was classic. It ended right there though. A winning coach shouldn't have to go through that in big moments. Let 'em enjoy it and soak in glory elsewhere. Wet back and britches and haunch. Show some respect. Nobody wants to carry coaches on their shoulders anymore because they're wet and nasty.
I guess this is a players thing and not a fan's, but they should think about getting more creative and come up with something original, like the gatorade ice bath was the first time. But without ice and wet.
Go Tigers!

If you stink enough to be playing in the Mayo Bowl you likely deserve that one.
Cheez-Its are dry. And Orange. And you can pick one off your collar and eat it. That might be a winner.

Cheez-Its are laundry friendly. Shower me with M&Ms or Reese's Pieces please. I reckon I would eat a Pop-Tart that had been dumped on me

Now we're getting somewhere. I see NIL possibilities galore here with logo'd buckets of snacks or candy that players are dumping on coach. Again - dry, and there's the five second rule after it hits the ground where folks nearby can munch.
Think of all the categories -
Pretzels
Chips
Skittles
With M&M's you could do a whole season long campaign around all their varieties
Gummy Bears
Quaker Oats
It doesn't end.

I'd like to have my favorite IPA sponsor the game and then ENJOY the aftermath.

George Allen was killed by a Gatorade shower … coached at Long Beach State.
I thought that would end the inanity.

Hate to tell u (actually don't give 2 dumps) but George Allen died from cardiac issues a couple months after said game. The water dump didn't have a thing to do with it.
The humanity of insanity. Also hate to tell u (don't give 3 dumps) but insanity is repeating the same thing expecting different outcomes. I despise misuse if words.

I think it’s pretty cool. It’s usually a senior or captain that throws it on them and kind of signifies the “we did it” moment for coaches. I think it’s a pretty cool moment more often than not.

I believe Lawrence Taylor was the first to do that while playing for the NY Giants.

Axe em all! Meeting at the paw, gatorade baths, high fives, low fives, even nods, taking a knee, kickoff downed inside the 10, coaches not, punching players ..... just add on what u feel. I'm down for the cause

Wow, players and coaches do not celebrate for fans, they celebrate for themselves. Please.

I'm sure Gatorade doesn't mind at all. Free advertising, and more future sales

Totally agree wildblu. For years, my son & I always comment that Gatorade bath is the dumbest tradition in college football and needs to cease. Get off my lawn!!!!

Yep, it’s like the caps when a recruit announces. It’s way overdone and needs to go away.

Westerntigerfan you hit the nail on the head with that one!! Those ceremonies with the caps have become an absolute circus. I feel sorry for the players sometimes because it seems obvious that someone else put the thing together and usually makes them look like clowns. Take your million dollars worth of free stuff and move on dude. Enough with the semi-organized theatrics! Next thing ya know, they will require jugglers performing and bears on unicycles circling the stage!!
