By reclassifying as a D2 school for a season or more? I suspect the inevitable B1G/SEC championship tournament will leave many schools in unknown territory, I'd love to see them abolish the toothless NCAA and restart true college sports with limited transfers and if the courts mandate NIL then no collectives and THE entity hiring the NIL can require that player to stay in market to recoup the investment on the ad campaign. This would basically create a D2 type subclass that may even surpass the B1G/SEC. The question would then be does Clemson want to deal with the play to pay until transfer day league or go to a more controlled, traditional environment? If Clemson and Free Shoe U get stuck in the ACC too long they may not have a say in which one they land.
