Best Clemson pro?

Trevor is obviously rising as a top 5 QB in the NFL, but there’s some that have made huge impacts on teams.
Tee Higgins is just other-worldly. He’s really like a tall superhuman/alien out there with his speed as well.
Deandre Hopkins is hard to argue against, as he’s been a clear #1 receiver in the whole league in the past, but slowly declined a tiny bit with some injuries.
Deshaun Watson has looked like a Patrick Mahomes level QB (even though I full heartedly believe Deshaun’s better). But he had a slow return year. I expect him to regain his productivity next year though.
Or you could say Brian Dawkins or someone of the past. Maybe Dwight Clark.

All time I'll take Dawk. A lot of great players though. Most underrated might have been Jeff Bryant. He played for the Seahawks from 1959 to 2006. lol

A few years ago, Dawkins was named the greatest Eagle of all time!

That's pretty strong, right there! Especially since the Eagles started play in 1933! Probably the only former Tiger that can make that claim!

Dawkins... great pick. I'd have Levon Kirkland right behind him though.

The top 5 pros go like this
1. Brian Dawkins (big gap) 2.Levon Kirkland (bigger gap) 3. Terry Allen 4. MD Perry 5. Jeff Bostic
In my mind, the current NFLers cannot come close to these 5 players. Nuk had a chance, but injuries have derailed his career recently. Lawrence, Higgins and Mike Williams are trending the right way but let's see how the next 5 years go for them. Dexter and Wilkins are also trending the right way on the defensive side of the ball. I don't think any of them will overtake Dawkins or Kirkland, but they might be able to slot into the 3-5 range some day.

Skalski got hit with a targeting
Jan 26, 2023, 7:25 AM
|
|
Venables (LB) went in, stood still , and got trucked in the next play.
Clemson then let them score on the next plays and the game was over
Skalski was so critical to the team that season because of lack of depth at LB and he always got ejected or wasn't available when games really mattered

JRoss and Tee Higgins barely played too

like LSU beat Clemson in a defense rebuild year and injured WRs
i to this day do not think the LSU team was good. compared to the Alabama and Clemson teams of 2015-2019.

The number of players from that LSU team that are currently superstars in the NFL begs to differ with your statement but if you think that team wasn't that good, I guess you're entitled to your opinion.

TL will probably end up being our best. He's not quite there yet (maybe thanks to the nightmare year with Urban Meyer).

We have had some great ones over the years. Not really sure how to classify some pro Carter's like Banks McFadden.
The best pro may never have played a game, Skip Wise!
