I would get significant satisfaction out of Clemson being the one that found the lever and was the first domino to fall.
I have said before and still believe that I would like to find a way for the ACC to survive with Clemson in it, but that is becoming less and less likely every day.

The bags were packed as soon as the ACC rescued the 3 misfit schools. Not that we didn’t have one foot out the door as soon as OU/TX and USC/UCLA happened.

Not so fast, my friend. FSU fited the first shot that got the war started and was willing to take on the enemy all by itself. Turns out, Clemson saw an opening and rushed in to help. FSU led the way. Florida AG has gotten involved early on. SC AG has been hiding under his desk waiting for an all clear signal before he shows his face.
I'm no FSU fan, but I do give credit when it is duly earned.

Agreed. FSU forced the ACC to show its hand and allowed Clemson the luxury of observing the enemy in action.
That being said, I think there is definitely some coordination between Clemson and FSU.
I think FSU had the desire to fire the first shot, but I think Clemson was in the loop on the timing and knew how long to save their gun powder.
The ACC’s counter suit against Clemson alleges that Clemson was actively indicating that it would work to resolve its differences outside of court the day before the lawsuit was filed. This was obviously a deliberate strategy because they saw how the ACC preemptively sued FSU in NC court and Clemson.
Also, Clemson learned to ask for a declaration of rights to set a trap for the ACC and force them to make a choice. The ACC is now on record as asserting rights that are the basis for Clemson’s countersuit alleging damages.

I understand that FSU fired the first shot. I don’t care about that. What I meant was that I want Clemson to:
a) be the one to find a way out
b) be the first to eave
I would take great satisfaction in that; all credit to FSU for having the guts to speak out and take action.i hope they are one foot behind us on the way out of the door.
I guess FSU will eventually be remembered as the school that blew up the ACC, but I want Clemson to be remembered as the one who got out the door first, and opened the floodgate. We are definitely in this together.

As I was watching the baseball games on line yesterday, it seemed surreal seeing the 2 ACC logos in the backstop so prominent in the view of the batters. Just struck me as uncomfortable for Clemson to be promoting the ACC at the same time we are suing the ACC. I get we are still members of the conference at the moment but still just struck me as strange.

Your entire administration wants out and there is very good reasons for that.
Why would you want to stay in a conference that has screwed us. Just read the amended filing against the ACC. They are damaging us. And other schools who we have no business being associated with us are leaching off of us and have put no real effort into improving their football programs.
The disparity in money over the next decade is staggering.
