Is, just look at these stats Cade Klubnick was +89% in a clean pocket He was 33% when being pressured/hit Seven sacks in the bowl game
It’s as simple as giving Cade an offensive line to play behind.

Sometimes a QB needs to avoid sacks. Something Cade needs to learn.***

Hard to avoid four pass rushers that are on top of you before you can set your feet.

too often this year. Miami got after him pretty good too, but other than that he’s been seeing true pressure about 30% of the time. Thing is, he is still learning to process the game and he panics at the first sign of a rush.
Regardless, his pocket presence needs a ton of improvement. Instead of panicking and running right like usual, he stood basically still against UK and took several sacks he didn’t need to.

To the staffs credit, Cade stood in the pocket yesterday instead of panicking. Problem is he doesn’t yet have the calmness and awareness to step up and around in the pocket. He was a stationary target on Friday, and he was responsible for many of the sacks.

It's 3 parts. Some improvement in each of these parts will benefit the others.
Improved O-line QB growth/development Improved WR

He never rolls out to the right unless he's chased. You can run and look downfield at the same time when you're running by choice.

Cade is a work in progress. He may never materially change his game.

Every time he would try to run right or left....he gets pounced on fast behind the line of scrimmage. That Miami game is a prime example. I saw a lot of green grass where Cade was trying to run and that Miami defender was not having it. Cade had no chance. There were other games he tried to take off left or right.... and the same thing happened.

A QB should first try to step up in the pocket, keeping as much

of the field in front of him as possible, looking over the entire field. He runs right all the time, not just when he’s chased from tbe left. When he does that he drastically cuts down the field and his options.
He’s gotta get A LOT calmer in the pocket, buy time before running, and process the game in front of him. It’s a mark of great QBs.

I think it is more like don't give him an option to think. He is just very slow reacting to anything different than planned. I may be wrong but he does not have reactive football sense. I've about had it with "work in progress". The bowl game while winning "Go Tigers" was the worst example of offense execution I've seen all year and let's not forget it has been an entire year. Some peak in High School, some peak in College, and some peak in the NFL. I think we know know where/ when Cade peaked.
The sad thing is, in today's NCAA football, peaking in High School and not addressing it for a couple of years destroys a top tier program for many years. The decline is really had stop when you fall out of favor with the recruits, portal players, media, sponsors, and fans. Sorry for stating the obovious but we are now entering year four and significant improvment looks pretty far down the road.
