Yep, Quin Ewers owes Ohio State a million bucks. He used them because the state of Texas wasn’t allowing that at the time. Kind of a crappy thing to do.

Same story, different player. When they transfer once, they will transfer again. Broken system.

I think we need to change the terminology.

Let’s start replacing “committed “ with something eles. Any suggestions? “Giving it a try” or “taking it for a spin”?

He is a good kid that has been through a lot. Unfortunately for him he went to a school whose FB coach left shortly after he arrived. He was a hard worker for us, but wanted playing time. Hope he finds the right college for him. Had he stayed here he would probably be the #2 guy now, wonder if he is thinking about Dabo saying bloom where you are planted?

The year he spent in the NAIA was before he transferred to Clemson

so I'd say it worked out well enough for him, considering he was an unknown recruit before he played for them and was able to parlay that season into becoming a walk-on at Clemson and then earning a scholarship in camp.

His head coach at Georgia State left for another job 2 months after he committed to play there, so this isn't exactly shocking news. Their new head coach was previously their running backs coach, though, which is why I thought he might stick around anyway.

Sounds like he got some bad advice. Hope he finds a home. Hard to walk away from a scholarship from Clemson but this guy did.
