WATCH: Brent Venables talks game-winning goal line stand against Louisville

Defensive coordinator Brent Venables talked about Clemson's clutch goal line stand in the final seconds to secure the team's 30-24 road win against Louisville on Saturday night.

What are you gonna say? They (Louisville) made two amazing plays to get down there," Venables said. "Just really proud of the guys, obviously. Just incredible toughness. That's the kind of attitude you got to have if you want to be a good defense, let alone a great one."

Venables was pleasantly surprised that the defense made the last-second plays against the electric quarterback Malik Cunningham.

"We knew he was going to run the ball earlier, and we didn't do a great job at times at stopping him, so the game on the line, it was pretty amazing, to be honest with you."
