Swinney updates Lawson's injury status

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney talked to the media following his team's Orange Bowl win and had the following comments on the health status of defensive end Shaq Lawson.

Swinney said that he didn't think the injury was that serious and thinks it's a sprained MCL. The medical staff will see how he feels the next few days.

Lawson tried to go back into the game but could not push off of it well. The local product from Central, S.C. thinks that he will be able to participate in the National Championship game on January 11th.
