Clemson QB commitment Tony McNeal continued his solid senior season last Friday night. The Chester quarterback led a 93-yard, come-from-behind touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter to help lead the Cyclones past Wade Hampton by a 33-28 score. The game was in the opening round of the Class AAA playoffs.
The Generals led 28-27 and had a first-and-goal at the Chester 1-yard-line with less than five minutes remaining, but the Cyclones held, and McNeal drove his team down the field. He threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Deon Strong with 1:25 remaining to account for the winning score. In the game, he completed 22-of-37 passes for 360 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.
