Injury updates on Mullen, Anchrum

by - Assoc. Editor -

Junior Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen injured his ankle early in the third quarter against Syracuse when he was rolled up on a tackle attempt. Mullen left the game and did not return.

"We'll get Trayvon back," Dabo Swinney said. "He rolled his ankle. Will he be back? They ain't going to cut it off. I don't think they're going to amputate it so he should be back at some point." (Swinney joking)

Mullen has started all five games for the Tigers and has recorded two sacks.

True freshmen Kyler McMichael took for Mullen and played the rest of the game.

Offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum rolled his ankle earlier this week in practice.

"It was tender on it in practice and thought he could go up to kickoff, but wasn't ready when he started playing," Swinney said.
