Tiger Basketball Signees Gathering Plenty of Accolades as Seniors

CLEMSON -- Clemson basketball signees Donte Hill and Milton Jennings have been selected to play in various all-star games over the course of the next two weeks, while Clemson's third signee, Devin Booker, has already competed in a pair of local all-star events. The three fall-period signees make up the nation's #22 ranked recruiting class, according to Scout.com.

Jennings, a consensus top-30 prospect according to recruiting services, will play in the McDonald's All-America Game on April 1 at the University of Miami (FL). Jennings is just the fourth McDonald's All-American to sign with the Tiger program out of high school. The Summerville, SC product led Pinewood Prep to its fourth straight AAA championship at the SCISA level this season.

Jennings, a 6-foot-9 forward, was recently named South Carolina's Gatorade Player-of-the-Year for the second straight season. He averaged 20.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.2 blocked shots per game for the Panthers as a senior. Jennings will also be participating in the Capital Classic, which will be held at American University on April 9. It will mark the third straight year at least one Clemson signee has played in the Capital Classic.

Hill, who hails from Virginia Beach, VA, was recently named to the All-Tidewater boys basketball team. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 23.5 points, 14 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. He posted an amazing 23 double-doubles and six triple-doubles during his senior season with Norfolk Collegiate School. Hill has been selected to play in the Charm City Challenge on April 5, an event that pits Baltimore area All-Stars versus U.S. All-Stars. It will also mark the third straight year Clemson has had at least one signee play in the Charm City Challenge.

Devin, younger brother of current Clemson junior Trevor Booker, played in the Carolinas All-Star Classic last week and posted 17 points for the South Carolina squad. The Whitmire, SC native also played in the Spartanburg Tip-Off Club All-Star Game, where he produced a game-high 29 points and won the event's dunk contest.

Booker, an All-State performer at the AAA level and Region Player-of-the-Year, averaged 24.0 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 3.7 blocked shots per game for Union High School as a senior. The 6-foot-8 forward is rated as a consensus top-150 prospect by all the major recruiting services.
