Traditional Thanksgiving dinner planning

man, I want some new sides to go with turkey, dressing, gravy
I got - maple roasted carrots, creamed spinach and sweet potato crunch.
I am not a fan of baked Mac and cheese - it just gets too dry for me. Mac and cheese outta da box is better. LOL.
Anybody got something unique? Please no green bean casserole.

It's more of an entree than a side, but Bologna cake with Mustard/Mayo icing is always a big hit with us.
Could be classified as a dessert, too, I suppose.

We did a practice run on Thanksgiving last night, as a matter of fact.

Mrs. and I will be doing it alone this year, so we decided to do German with rouladen, spätzle, and red cabbage. Mrs. made rouladen last night in order to get her recipe down and it turned out excellent. We did potato pancakes instead of the spätzle because that's very time-consuming to do from scratch.
This in no way helps you out with a suggestion, but I did feel the need to brag on the Mrs. because it turned out so phenomenally.

way too many recipes and yeah, it is okay, but nothing good ol' stove top Mac and cheese. I am being honest here. I have never had baked Mac and cheese anywhere that I liked. I think most people just put up with it.
