It was a routine line drive straight to the left fielder. Why there was a thought that Jack could score from second is beyond me

There's times he should have sent runners and didn't. Crighton took too wide of a turn and came into home plate too far away from the plate to reach in for the touch. Plus, the catcher blocked the plate with his knee. I would have sent him. I believe in sending the runner and make the defense make a perfect play to get him out. Odds favor the runner over the defense being perfect. It's early in the game, we need to get as many runs as we can early to help the bull pen.
