To a very good team, one being an incredible pitching performance that would beat anyone in the country. Now we suck? Do you think the experts that ranked us so highly don’t know ball? Pathetic fanbase sometimes. And yes, I’m aware of the flaws we have, no need to point them out.

He is right. Pitching matters.... We don't have the pitching staff. Our hitters are great until they face above average pitchers..... Then pitching really MATTERs.....

Pointing out the issue is what matters. Bats are not coming back to win against the better teams like WF. That closer was pumped and Clemson was wailing away at air and went down quietly and quickly. Can’t blame the bats, saved bullpens tail many times.

The weaknesses that anyone can see in any game are magnified against good teams. Our bullpen is not very good. We still strike out too much. Doesn’t mean that we’re not a very good team, we’re just not quite there yet. We have to score 8-10 runs to win to overcome our substandard bullpen. Against teams with above average pitching that’s going to be difficult. IMO we’re still ahead of schedule on the rebuild.
