Pneumonia of "unknown origin" kills 3 out of 9 infected

...in Argentina. All but one were healthcare workers at a single facility, indicating likely person-to-person spread within the facility. X-rays showed lung abnormalities similar to severe covid patients. They have ruled out covid-19, influenza A and B, and hantavirus, as well as 30 other common pneumonia-causing viruses and bacteria.

Several theories are floating around, but so far no one knows what it is. One victim was an ICU patient in a hospital and the other 8 were healthcare workers at the facility. At this point they will likely sequence any virus or bacteria they find at autopsy and that will tell more. One theory is covid may have been mutating for a long time in the ICU patient, and then spread in a mutated form that omits the three common covid testing markers. One marker is already commonly omitted in certain covid strains, while not in others. Still, no variant has omitted detection by all three common markers (to date). That would no doubt make this covid-22 if the case. Then again it could be a new virus or even a bacteria or fungus. They have run 30 tests for the 30 most common causes of pneumonia and still no luck.

Side note, with covid, walking 5 feet behind someone in a department store for maybe 15 seconds, is a "close contact". Close enough to transmit covid anyway. Dang Australians.....and their contact tracing.

Lock it down!!!! Lock. It. Down!!! Let’s all go ahead and just stop it now. Get Anderson Cooper brought to you by Pfizer and Fauci into the mix too. Let’s have Cuomo write a book too.

I think if we learned anything it’s that these ideas were the best.
