in - why wait while spots get filled and less opportunity? I know they have from 4/16 to 4/30 but this seems like a good sign for us that no one has entered yet. (knock on wood)

I agree. Only other concern is if they are out there trying to broker a deal before they make an announcement.

I think we might still see one or two leave, but it is a good sign that no one was beating down the door to get out.

look like they were enticed/tampered with to enter the portal. It seems that if you were trying to cover up tampering then you'd go in immediately but then wait to come out of it a few days/week later to look like you were truly exploring options

I was about to post the same thing. This is day 3 and we haven't had anyone announce yet. That seems like a positive sign.

If your current coach sits all the starters during the spring game and you're playing 4 quarters or if the other guy is getting all the reps with the first team, you probably get a good idea where you are on the depth chart. I don't like it but thems the facts. Now that the NCAA is allowing unlimited transfers, I could see a Kansas, Texas Tech, Baylor or NC State level of school holding on to some of the NIL until after the spring games and then offering 2nd and 3rd stringers at other schools that would be an upgrade in their program.

FSU, on the other hand, has our "spring festival" this Saturday. I expect 8 or so guys who see they are not in the two deep depth chart will enter on Monday. (A combination of seniors who are looking for more playing time this year and 2nd and 3rd year men who see that their future might be better elsewhere. If I'm a redshirt sophomore and see that I am still 3rd string OT, I might want to look elsewhere.)

Recruit quality guys out of HS.
Develop them as players, while keeping them bought in to the system.
Have an NIL program to guide and assist them in making professional deals with companies and organizations that will pay them.
Do that well and why should anybody leave?

their take, and will make the jump if not satisfied? Nobody will convince me that is not happening at schools all around the country right now. It is truly pathetic to have to re-recruit your whole roster every dang year now.
