Ryder Cup. 4-0 Europe when I turned it off. Getting hard to watch Thomas and Schauffle choking in big moments. I still maintain Lucas Glover should have been picked over Thomas.

Not surprised at all. Our guys seemed very "ho hum" about it going in, and I don't think Zach Johnson is someone that will inspire the players. We didn't seem to have anything motivating us or to play for, unlike the Europeans who were totally embarrassed in the last RC at Whistling Straits and really wanted to get that bad taste out of their mouths. Plus, playing on home soil is a huge advantage in this thing and we don't ever go overseas with a lot of belief, having lost so many times over there.
And I agree with you, I did not think much of the Captain's picks. I think it is going to be a long weekend for our side...

There are some other things---the course has been somewhat altered to suit the Europeans' game strengths....and we can't buy a birdie putt it seems. I actually played the course once and I like it, it's not too difficult but the greens are a handful. Thus far, only Spieth and Koepka are showing signs of life.

Yes, each home side always tries to "trick it up" a little bit to create a little advantage. We tend to like our courses a little longer with friendly rough.

If they continue to drain putts like they are, we don't stand a chance. Fitzy, Hovland and Hojgaard are all making clutch putts right now. Seems like we can't buy one outside of 10 feet.

And I don't consider it unpatriotic - rather a match between the best of Europe vs. some buddies of Zach Johnson representing the PGA and themselves. Hovland is special. And I'd be all in on USA with Glover on the team.
