Jeremiah 10:1-4 NKJV

1 Hear the word which the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel.
2 Thus says the LORD:

“Do not learn the way of the Gentiles;
Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven,
For the Gentiles are dismayed at them.
3 For the customs of the peoples are futile;
For one cuts a tree from the forest,
The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.
4 They decorate it with silver and gold;
They fasten it with nails and hammers
So that it will not topple.

I believe one can point to Constantine for the ritual being incorporated into the Christian life. In one day he made pagan priests Christian and required them to teach Christian doctrine. ...Not a good thing.

Does this mean it’s a sin to put up a Christmas tree?

We talked about the conflict between James and the Hebrews who insisted their faith was their work. I
ve given much thought and study of those groups who wrestled with the truth of the Gospel as taught by the Apostles.

My conclusion is; The heretics won and eventually maintained control over a like-minded group of people who shared in their views that the church and state could be in harmony. Give a little here and there and gain a little political power now and again. It's still happens to the best churches.

If you guise can remember just the last month you'll know why God didn't tell us when Jesus was born, He wanted no part in what man could do to disgrace the birth of His Only Begotten.

It's a wonderful opportunity to take off work and spend with your family. Many remember and weep, and that's rightly so.
