Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro,NC was a very very kind Golf course to Clemson Golf this year with not only Lucas Glover winning there on the PGA Tour but also the Clemson Women's Golf team winning the programs first ever ACC Championship there back in mid April

watched snead, chi chi, and Gary play. But mostly I followed Arnold. He was and is the man to me. Did not know who Donald Ross was back then but a do now and am a huge fan of his courses

100% These guys today are awesome, but they also have some awesome equipment at their disposal, including the golf balls. That said, awesome courses, awesome competition, and a wonderful finish for Lucas Glover today. So happy for him and his family.

imagine a good many if not all the PGA Tour Pros currently if they had to play with the same equipment that Arnie,Jack and Ed played with back in their day.Even though they are Pros I bet it would still be much much harder to hit a golf ball with the unforgiving blade irons and persimmon woods(both having the same sweet spot the size of a half dollar or even a quarter) vs the muscle back and some times cavity back irons and over size Drivers and oversize Fairway woods that they have and still do use to this day

The guys are good no doubt. Equipment is off the charts good but the technology out there now as far as launch monitors and other methods to see exactly what is going on with their swings is amazing. Teacher could be across the country and you can send him video and he could get back with you in less than an hour to diagnose your issues. No substitute for beating balls but it would be nice to know if what I was doing is helping or hurting.

Went up there a few years back and absolutely loved the layout of that course. Looked old school and it was in very good shape.

Where the shag range was back then I remember Snead trying to hit a house far off in the distance. In his era w that equipment then he could really launch it. When you saw him swing you wonder how he ever hit one off line.
