Is anyone shocked that Clowney is riding the bench so much?

Sep 7, 2013, 11:25 PM

I am not. The past two seasons he has been on the bench a bunch. The knock on him during those seasons was that he could not play a complete game. Well, now that all of the cameras are on him, the whole world gets to see that. He can make a GREAT play every now and then, but he is not a fulltime player. He is a pass rusher who excels in 3rd down passing situations. He is not much of a run defender. Wonder if the NFL wants to waste a 1st round pick on a part time player?

Oakland Raiders in his future. Bank on it. He's their type of player.

Oakland only drafts losers. Jamarcus Russell says hi.

We're seeing just how much Devin Taylor...

took off of Clowney. Clowney is NOTHING without his NFL draft pick tackle taking up one or two extra defenders for him.

He watched his own highlight reels too much. He did not

think that he needed to "work it" like Nuk would. The lack of conditioning is showing. We will not be so fortunate by seasons end. By then, Spulid will have whipped him into shape. But don't worry, Chad will have a plan for him.

Clemson Football, the glory days are here!

His conditioning is crap, attitude is worse. He blames his lack of participation on the offense taking him out of the game. If he maintains that attitude, he may not be in shape later. His draft stock is definitely plummeting.

most of espn still thinks heisman is his to lose, however***

He's going to get chewed up and...

Sep 8, 2013, 1:13 AM

Spit out in an NFL style combine. Everyone will recognize it. It was a bad decision for him to stay for his last year of eligibility.

Now that their NC hopes are shot, he's likely going to slack even more. Clowny's stock will drop quickly from here on out.

He didn't have a choice to leave or stay. He was a sophmore last year.

He could have sat out this year and trained.....who am I kidding he doesn't need to train. Training has to ask Clowney's permission. Saw a coot fan say that there were, "no leaders on either side of the ball". I asked, "y'all's Heisman winning; greatest football player in the world ever is not a leader?

I got no response!
