I have a business inside city limits that leases from a building I own. I pay city tax on my gross receipts for the business... so that money is taxed. But then I have to pay taxes on the gross receipts for the building... which about 1/4 of that is paid from the already taxed gross receipts from the business. Isn't this double taxation?

That is an expense plateau i cannot get up to yet. Thus, today I wore my accountant hat. I hate this hat... it looks stupid and I feel stupid wearing it.

That's your problem. It's not a hat, it's a visor.

All you need to do is sign a waiver and send it to the IRS declaring yourself a sovereign citizen, and you don't have to pay anymore. It's the one loophole they don't want you to know about. But oh, you have to replace all of your American flags with those that have the gold tassels around it.

Everything goes through them. Even 941's that get spit out by the accounting software goes through them for a couple hundred $s a month to do basically nothing.

If something ever goes south with the IRS, I want someone between them and me. Almost every year there is some sort of correction. Usually I owe a couple extra hundred for something or other that also gets a couple extra hundred in late fees and penalties added, but every few years I get an extra check back too...with no interest of course.

I always end up paying from one company to the other at tax season.

My account says pay xx more in rent or visa versa for reasons I don't know or care. I have an engineering company that I want as broke as possible so if I ever get sued over my insurance amount, there's not much to get. The other company owns my office and some other rental properties.
