Very impressed with Alabama's skill players last night.

Their offensive line gets all the praise, and it should, but McCarron was deadly accurate. Lacy would be a Heisman candidate if he got 25 carries a game. Yeldon is probably an All-American talent, too. The freshman WR Cooper is one of the best at that position I've seen this year.
The overall talent level is awe-inspiring.

The NFL farm system has run amok.

Does Alabama cheat NCAA rules? I can only suspect. Do players just go there, knowing that odds are very good that they will end up playing for multiple MNCs? I'm sure they do. Is Saben just that much better than all the other coaches? Maybe.
Tradition, storied history....blah,blah,blah. It wasn't that long ago that Bama was mired in mediocrity with the rest of us.

from Bama. Most of my post is in regard to "how did they get there"?
You're right. They are in a different league. How did they get there and how long until we're all indifferent to the game?
A lot of folks watched "Scarface" last night. Well, maybe not a lot. But, they did watch something else besides that game.

If I would have known that, I probably wouldn't have watched the game.

Saban may not be the best coach on game day, but...

he's the best coach on every other day. He has his teams ready to play. Does he attract top talent? Sure, but he also develops it.

I was most impressed by the Center/QB fight.

Seriously. Alabama's fire and intensity even when they were up 4 TDs shows why they won. That's what we need to see at Clemson, the striving for perfection on each and every play regardless of score.

are imo. When McCarron only has to worry about fighting with his roomie and how much air time his GF is getting, makes it much easier to throw accurately and on time.
Same for those running backs. When your first cut or broken tackle is 5 yards upfield you look pretty awesome. Lacy's first TD looked like he was doing a walkthrough in practice.
I'm not saying they aren't good, they certainly are. But they have a huge advantage with that OL.

He's very accurate, but gets a lot of help. Not sure about Yeldon.
But Lacy is clearly a beast. He has wide holes to run through a lot, but still, great vision, and incredible strength. I liked counting the times he would get tackled by two or three guys out of bounds, but never actually go down. He'd be standing, while the other three were sprawled around.
And Cooper is just an obvious talent. Runs routes, size, speed, elusiveness.
