Sometimes Dabo needs to just be quiet and say "Next Question" and Goober Pyle……I don't know what to say about him? I thought he was a good fit and a great hire but they turned on him like they do every coach they have ever had. When he crossed that local Media when I sent you that last year…….ya just say "Ugh OH". Here it comes. Coots do what Coots do, every time. You think that caboose is full now before games?? You just wait and see what it looks like leaving town after the season. It'll look like a ticker tape parade in Manhattan with all the ripped up NIL deals flying out the windows.

I will give THE Uncle Lou (He added THE when he mocked Ohio State for claiming they were going to trademark the word "THE" in "THE Ohio State" lol- Good one) credit he was spot on with his preseason predictions in July for Clemson so far with losses to Duke and FSU. He predicted beating Miami and Notre Dame but losing a third to the coots. Hope that last one doesn't hold. Starting around the 27:00 mark:

Dabo should just come beattch slap some of you in hopes that at that point you’d get the message: in terms of running the program, what fans think doesn’t matter. Not at all. Those checks you write are just for your entertainment, nothing more. If you choose to look for other entertainment, feel free to do so. Otherwise, your commentary is superfluous in the extreme.

I agree with you when you say what fans say doesn’t matter. I wish Dabo felt the same way and would stop commenting on it. Now he has everyone talking about it like it is a big issue. It doesn’t help his brand or ours to put stuff like this out there.
Just focus on winning, and the rest will take care of itself…

Lou has the perspective of an actual fan, which matches my experience as a fan my whole life. Unfortunately Clemson now has literally hoardes of fans who don’t understand the difference between armchair QBs and coaches (normal harmless part of being a real fan) and a bandwagon fan (which is a fake fan that just attaches to a winner). Bandwagon fans will see themselves to the door sooner or later. In any case, none of these fans, or any other fans, has anything to do with any success or failure on the field. It’s ridiculous to be calling fans out.

In addition to bandwagon fans there are also trolls who are not fans at all, but show up to antagonize actual fans. Unlike Bandwagons, Trolls have to actually be shown the door.

I don’t believe he called out anyone. He was specifically asked about fan complaints and he acknowledged that there are some complaining fans, and credited a wide majority of fans for not being complainers. Was he supposed to pretend he was unaware of the whining?

He shouldn’t have addressed it at all. It comes off as deflection and defensive. He said 98.5% of fans are amazing and 1.5% cause a lot of the problems. What problems do the 1.5% cause?

Why couldn't he have just said 98.5% of the fans are awesome and left it at that. Let everyone else fill in the blanks on what the other 1.5% are.
