the fact that TE is not ready to name Shipley the #1 RB

is even more telling. Shipley has been far and away better than anyone else in that position group.

He's not going to switch starters at the whim

Let's just keep rolling with Pace as the starter because it's going so well!

Incredible and TE should not be mentioned in the same sentence

the field on Saturday a starter, tells you all you need to know. He also said that CJ will make the call....that's odd. Who's running the offense? Elliott or CJ?

end zone.... Expecting him to be able to punch it out from 4-5 yards deep.... And with most of the D gunning for him.... Tells me that he's the #1 running back in crunch time.... Lucky spear by tech LB knocked the ball loose.... and for Shipley to recover the ball.... Wow!

He should be able to and did get out of the end zone

He just fumbled the ball back into the end zone and put the game in jeopardy. I get people want the kid to start, but trust is everything and he lost a lot there.

I agree with Tony Elliott’s decision here…

Shipley has a promising future but he does need to improve in pass pro. He also fumbled the ball in a critical situation so you have ask yourself if you can trust him in those situations in the future.

If he even got half of the carries he ended up with, we lose yesterday. He is obviously the best option at rb.

Here’s an interesting stat, in 3 games, Clemson’s defense has given up just 12 total points and our offense has given up 9… one could argue even less points have been given up by the defense due to unfavorable predicaments the offense has put the defense in. The ONLY bright spot offensively is Will Shipley and a healthy Justyn Ross (even though he looks like he is still shaking rust off) . DJ has regressed from what I saw last year and schematically, we are laborious to watch. I love Dabo and we have been blessed to have him as our coach but we have to do something different offensively - there is too much talent. Too many teams out there performing with far less talent.

With a comment like that....I now know WITHOUT A DOUBT where the offensive problem is coming from. Elliot has lost his mind.

With Lyn-J gone Shipley will get the ball more. Doesn't matter who starts Shipley or Pace. You need two good RBs if the ground is going to be where we hang out. Those guys take a beating. I also want to see Shipley as a receiver giving him some space ala ETN.
