Thoughts on Tyler Grisham?

The conversation around Grisham has been getting loud after these past 2 seasons. Dabo mentioned a few weeks ago that position coaches were being put on notice.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him move to the 110 Collective and bring in a different WR coach.

He is not from Spartanburg. Seriously hands on the whole team were bad not just his group. TE RB QB. Even some D players at times.

He needs to go. WRs dropping balls, underdeveloped, transferring….Dabo can make him an Analyst/Developer/Recruiting Strategist for 3rd Year Juniors, so he can still keep his paycheck.

Keep his paycheck? Are we running a welfare operation? Private businesses do not keep a non producing employee on the payroll just so they can keep their paycheck. Good Gracious.

I’m being sarcastic…..if he is removed from WR Coach position, Dabo will make sure he’s taken care of. (See Pearman, Caldwell, etc.)

Please check out the number of “retired” staff on football staff AND the $$$$ they are paid. Then checkout other staff who came to finish degree and found gold. Really remarkable when combined with costs associated with 50 walkons. That’s right - roster at 135. Dress, feed, provide medical and academic services to that large number.

Sarcasm generally doesn't translate very well on TNet. I gave you a TU for bravery although it could be for that other thing... (sarcasm, really!)

WRs have not been developed in fundamental areas: blocking, quality route running, tracking the ball in the air, fighting for 50/50 balls. Every receiver has drops, but the areas above are what really kills production on offense. I’m including TEs in this assessment. No reason for a TE who has been in our program for atleast a year should still be a work in progress regarding blocking. That’s what the redshirt season is supposed to achieve.

Would love to see Jeff Scott come back in that position. Not sure who is out there for OL coach. Who do you think?

Needs to go. His receivers don’t develop. Can’t block, can’t catch, can’t get separation. It all started when he became the coach. Can’t be a coincidence.

Yes, it can be a coincidence. The issue is talent, not development. You can't develop speed. You can't develop vertical leap.

Well we had that before he came and now it’s gone. But all that’s a coincidence and everything is fine right?

His as* should’ve been gone forever ago
I do not care if we got Westco
But Westco is the only thing saving him, and that’s a fact

lack of talent, explosiveness, catch ability, speed, etc.....
it's either development, recruiting, or BOTH...........all are issues that go back to coaching.

I would be worried if I was him or TA. I think both he and TA are on the hot seat.
I don't think you will see any movement until at least after signing day and probably not until after the bowl.
