Sure 9-4 isn’t what we as Clemson fans are accustomed to. But we started 4-4 everything looked gloomy wasn’t even sure we’d win 6 and make a bowl game. Defense was good but offense had its struggles and hiccups. OL,WR groups where below average lacking an explosive playmaker that can be the legitimate deep threat we need. Cade making some bone headed decisions and struggling with his reads. Then this team turns the table and goes on a 5 game winning streak with wins against two ranked opponents. And to finish as Gator bowl champs. That’s a good season this team has won 9 games or more for 13 straight seasons. While I still feel the offense is molding and rebuilding I think the offense including Cade will take a big leap next season. Cade will likely put some weight on and be a threat running the ball. He will have Wesco Moore and turner those 3 will add a spark and the emergence of Randall is huge. Clemson is going up from here hope yall bought some stock.
It was a very good season for us back in the Tommy Bowden years, but in the last decade, we have become accustomed to winning 10-11 games and contending for playoffs making for higher standards. Nevertheless, we finished this season out really well when, alternatively, we could have phoned it in and possibly not even made a bowl.
For the offense to take a big step next season, the whole offensive line needs a reset, so to speak. As they stay, it starts up front. Dabo made the first step here in hiring Matt Luke.
