What the HeII has our world come to ?

Seems like there is some random mass killing every week plus the religious zealots from the middle east.
I do not remember this much craziness ever......what the heck is in the water ?
It is sad, sick.
I have a thought, and it is quite a dilemma .
I believe most do it for fame or infamy if you will.
Why not simply quash the event.
No acknowledgement, no advertising and no fame.

to the point of worthlessness.
You can pick your culprit you want to blame it on: TV violence, video games, lack of religion, abortion, drugs, etc. Many factors involved.
Plus, there is way more media coverage than has ever existed. You hear about everything that happens worldwide. 50 years ago, you'd probably never hear about many of the things that CNN has 24 hour coverage on.

Instant access to media coverage has changed.
Humans are still the same vile, nasty, murderous animals that they've been since they crawled out of the swamp.

I did not crawl out of the swamp. I left Horry County in a 1971 Pontiac Lemans. Blue.

The fact that I was listening to the CCR version of Heard It Through The Grapevine and heard the line "Oh I'm just about to lose my mind" at the same time I was reading your post title.
This is pretty solid and indisputable evidence that you Sir, ARE Nostradamus reincarnated.

there could have been a mass killing in the Middle East or India that you never heard about before the internet and cable news networks. Walter Cronkite MIGHT have mentioned it in passing at the end of his broadcast.
One other factor is that the world population has tripled since the 1950's. 2 billion has turned into 6 billion.
The more people, more crazy people.
You can say the same about the USA too.

It's crazy out there these days...

Which is why my solution is to legalize murder. Not all murders, just ones that are justifiable. Like the people who slam on brakes to turn without signaling. Now, I'm not advocating just being able to shoot them dead on the spot...You'd have to have video evidence of their transgression before you could do that.
It would make the world a much better, safer place.

But yesterday I had two people slam on brakes in front of me to turn, and got stuck behind a crew of dipshitss in a work truck in the left lane for 25 miles. Cases like this are why I'm leaning towards supporting unlimited killings.

for centuries, nature could count on a good war taking out hundreds of thousands pretty regularly. That doesn't happen so much anymore.

At one time, the mentally ill were committed and treated.

The ACLU stopped that. Now they are released on the streets to eat out of garbage cans, or jailed.
The rise of the Islamists on the world stage began in Iran, when Jimmy Carter would not support the Shah. This gave the Ayatollahs a country, which they have used to fund and support Islamic terrorism worldwide for decades. Now, Obama has given them nukes. This should get interesting.

from the evidence that I've seen.
The news just likes to report the heinous stuff because it gets views/clicks/hits/whatever, so it seems like it's bad.
Violence has been decreasing, by a good bit, for some time.
